Not sure what Gary Mac could bring us thou - has had two managers jobs so far and they havent gone too well at all . Yes he was great for two seasons for us but as backroom staff ? not sure why he would be of any use to us .

If Rafa and Dalglish get angry each other, who do you think the people would support??  This is a risk...

Rafa Benitez today confirmed he has spoken to Kenny Dalglish about a potential return to Liverpool for the Anfield legend.
Dalglish has been linked with a role in the club's hierarchy and earlier this week the legendary number seven admitted he would relish the chance to return to the Reds.

Dalglish set for Anfield role as Rafa shakes up his coaching staff

By Sportsmail Reporter

Last updated at 2:17 AM on 28th May 2009

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is shaking up his backroom staff by dispensing with four of his coaches.

Gary Ablett is being replaced as reserve-team manager after three years. Another former player, Hugh McAuley, is also departing despite guiding the Under 18s to the FA Youth Cup final, where they lost to Arsenal.

Youth coaches Dave Lever and Dave Shannon are also leaving.

Frank McParland will return to oversee the backroom set-up and former Barcelona and Olympiakos coach Jose Segura is taking over as academy director.

Anfield legend Kenny Dalglish appears set to return to the club as adviser or ambassador.

Popular former midfielder Gary McAllister is also being linked with a coaching role.

Didn't Rafa ask him a few years back? Can't remember if someone close to him was possibly ill but he turned him down.
