Petition for Kenny Dalglish to be knighted

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Kenny is deserving of a knighthood for his playing career alone. He also won the league title with Blackburn in 1995 against all the odds. Yes, he already has the MBE, but it really should be upgraded to a knighthood. Some people were suggesting Bradley Wiggins for a knighthood earlier this year, who hasn't achieved anywhere near what Kenny has achieved.

Anyway, there's no point in me trying to convince those who have doubts. If you aren't sure by now, you'll never be sure.

I have to agree. It just riles me that the purple nosed cu'nt has been recognised for his services to football and KK hasnt
:glare:

Probably because Whiskey nose won 12 league titles and two European cups, and been manager for over 25 years service.

King Kenny?    a couple of league and Fa cup doubles in 1986 and 1989, about 5/6 years overall as manager.

Had kenny stayed in 1990 or 1991 whenever he left, that job was his for life had he stayed back then.

the double in 89? i dont know who you support lad but it`s not liverpool
ferguson was knighted before he won half of those trophys you mentioned, they knighted him as soon as he won his first european cup because the establishment are up uniteds @rse.
i cant understand how any liverpool fan would want dalglish to be knighted.
knighthoods are the establishments pat on the back.

We lost the league to Arsenal in 1989 in the last minute so how did we win the double ?!? You keep making mistakes pal .

We did the double in 1989? Really?
I was at wembley when we beat the bitters and I was at Anfield when we beat Arsenal... oh hang on

I can't understand how any Liverpool fan wouldn't want Dalglish to be knighted. There is nothing wrong with a pat on the back. If you're anti-establishment, then that's your issue.

Alex Ferguson was knighted after doing the treble in '99. At that stage he had won five Prem League titles and one European cup. Not exactly an outstanding record at that time if we compare him to Bob Paisley, who only received an OBE (6 league titles, 3 European Cups) in almost HALF THE TIME (Ferguson 86-99) (Paisley 74-81)
