Bring on Alonso and Babel for Lucas and Keane.

agreed.

No more keane. Keane is the worst player since Meijer and Riedle.

According to my Channel4 correspendents Xabi Alonso shall enter the game in the 2nd half, adding some much needed direction to the centre of the field.

I do think that Rafa needs to bring a few players in January that can actually provide good cover.

2nd half, Lucas to be replaced by Alonso and Babel to replace Keane or Kuyt.

Looking back on it now that early chance for Kuyt was a great chance. I hope we will get some more in the 2nd half. I dont care if we even win this on a scrappy rebound or penalty we HAVE to win to keep pace! Come on redmen you can do it!

Anyone see Irelands goal just now on replay? Almost identical type chance what Keane had.

Take Keane and Mascherano off...
Bring on Benayoun and Alonso...

Kuyt upfront with Torres with Arbeloa playing the right side..Benny to cut inside and open up more spaces for the forwards...

We look very flat and predictable atm... need to make early subs if we dont score in the first 10 mins or so..

Lucas is so poor. He is completely anonymous in the midfield. Everything just happens around him and he can't influence the game at all.

We need Xabi on now. Game is there to be won if we can get the ball down and win the midfield battle.

It wasn't really. The keeper was out quicker and closer to Keane, plus the angle was against him. Only one way for Keane to finish and that was to lob it, but to do that, most players would need to be world class, and on top of their game, both of which Keane isn't really. Bit more confidence and he might have done that, but at least he's getting in there.
