Not to say the rest of his performance was bad... but he still blows hot and cold for me... and I don't like the look of his finishing skills...

Well first of I did watch the game so i know the chances in fact I watched game 3 times now.

2nd of all the 2nd chance you speak of with benny he couldn't score that keep made up to much ground and got hand in way if he had hit the ball softer his foot would have taken longer to reacht he ball and keep would have had time to grab the ball.

As for you not liking strikers who hit ball with power , since when has it been down to a pans personal pref , how the hell out players hit the ball.

I mean wtf You wanna tell the player how to run next or you don't like how they move foot to the right when they do step overs maybe you like them to move the ball to the left before.

Or maybe you don't like they cross the ball to flat you want more air , basicly they play how they play end of story.

As long as he carrys on to improve I could care how he plays its his style , I personal think his style will be very effective once he nails it.

nowt wrong with being critical mate - we all are i guess in some ways - just some are over critical and will slag off certain players even failing to see the good they are doing at the time.

Just like most message forums Kuyt is number scapegoat and it looks like jucas and babel are via for who comes a distant second and third

Oh good, question marks of varying sizes over all of those players for me... not failing to see the good at all, just not building play that is "Ok" at best into some divine reason to pick them.


Their "good" simply isn't enough in the case of Kuyt and possibly Lucas, in my view.

It fine to critize players and think this that and the other i think the problem occurs when people just have a certain blind hatred for a player and no matter what he does will get slagged off - Kuyt being the prime example . the guy isnt world class neither is he as as what people make out - he is a just a decent squad player who continues to come up with the goods for us. He prb shouldnt be starting every game for us but at the moment we have no better to replace him .

Lucas so far hasnt really lived up to his potential but he does have a bility just not sure if the prem is right for him .

Babel got bags of talent and ability just needs to channel it better and be more consistent with it .

etc etc etc... All under 20 and regulars. Age doesn't make a player good. If they can't trap a bag of cement at 20 years old, they aren't going to be able to do it at 23. Players don't gain attributes they don't have, never have and never will. If they did then the likes of Sissoko, Babel and any other big strong and fast player would all be untouchable. The fact is, they aren't.

2. Are you having a laugh? "What you have to remember is you don't remember"? Absoloute classic. Gerrard was consistent enough to be counted as one of our best players pretty much as soon as he broke through.

4. He's a limited goal threat yes, better than average in this department but not exceptional. He is good at running into players instead of past them. He's very good at losing the ball aswell. His ability to play a one two is not there, its your imagination. He doesn't know how to give the ball and get it back, you've been playing to much pro evo. Strong on the ball yes, I'll give you that, what use is that though if you never play the right pass?

5. Whats his age got to do with anything? He's not good enough. End of story.

6. Ronaldo was a good player from day who needed fine tuning, he then turned into a goal machine who ripped poor teams to shreds every single week and offered a goal threat against anyone. Babel doesn't do this, not even close, any team who can defend usually copes with Babel fairly easily.
