Yeah I know Igor, I just don't want Torres brought back too early like he was against Arsenal last season. We might not be so lucky this time. I think when you play in these big games there is always the temptation to push players a little too much ........ if we were playing Stoke or West Brom would they play ?

I think it may do Keane some good to be the main striker for once and allow him to concentrate on what he's best at..... scoring goals.

save torres on the bench, i reckon we'll be 3 up by half time so wont need him anyway, but if we are only 2 up with 10 to go id give him a run out.

My daughter is playing against Man U under 16's at the same time, so I'll be screaming
my head off on the sideline :D  (They beat Man City away 5-4 yesterday   )

Let's hope Gerrard is fit - think we'd miss him more than Torres.

The latest seems to suggest that Torres will be fit but Gerrard is almost certainly out.

Not that Gerrard ever turns up against United anyway.

I really really want us to win this fixture. I can't bear to watch us lose again at Anfield due to them taking their one chance. But we've got to show, that we are up for it. In recent years we've almost looked a bit afraid of going forward against the mancs... as if the players themselves didn't believe, we were going to win. Often we've seen most of the possesion, but we just haven't been able to create or take our chances, whereas the mancs have been ruthless in taking their few chances. We have to get at them right from the beginning of the game, like we often do in the big games in the CL. That'll really get the crowd going aswell, and this is what we need, if we are to show the mancs that "this is Anfield", and not just some random ground where they can pick up 1-0 wins each season.

I hope being without Gerrard (and perhaps Nando) will spur the other players on, as we'll need a huge performance to actually win. Would be great to see Keane grab the winner for example. It'll probably be a tight affair once more, and I'm just praying we come out on top this time around. Can't wait for the game, but at the same time I'm really nervous about it. COME ON YOU RED MEN!

so heres the plan...

we beat the scummers this weekend with Man city either draw or win against chelsea
then scummers and chelsea draw next week and we beat stoke.

get our noses in front!

summary...

This week:
Liverpool 1 - 0 Scumchester
Man city 1 - 1 Chelsea

next week:
Scumchester 2 - 2 Chelsea
Liverpool 3 - 0 Stoke

come on red men

Spirit Of Shankly – March on Saturday

Saturday is a massive day for us. We are playing one of our biggest rivals, a team who are one behind us in league titles. A team who are European Champions. And a team that we love to beat. Much of the talk at the moment, however, is about what's going on off the pitch – what Hicks and Gillett are up to, the stadium and the club's finances.

The world's media will be watching. So let's make ourselves heard on a march from the Liverpool Supporters' Club, Lower Breck Road, up to Anfield. Let's remind everyone what we want – Hicks and Gillett, out of OUR club.

Let's make sure they get the message. Bring yourself, your mates, anyone who wants Hicks and Gillett out should be there. Bring your banners and bring your voices. A passionate mob, directing their anger towards those ruining our football club.

What we need on Saturday is two resounding victories. Firstly, a march on a massive scale that tells the world that Liverpool has had enough of Gillett and Hicks. A march of passion, a march of anger, a march of Red Solidarity that roars its message loud and proud: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! GO NOW!

This is the biggest club game in football and the world will be watching. Our second victory on Saturday comes when we take all that passion and pride inside the ground and take the roof off in a way no Manc has ever seen or heard. They have 76,000 spectators. We've got 40,000 warriors. All together on Saturday - everybody. Every last one of us turn up at Liverpool Supporters Club on Saturday morning for a show of strength that can change our club's destiny.

Liverpool Supporters Club. Saturday, 11am. See you there!

Spirit Of Shankly.

Everyone who can make it , please do your best to do so . Even if your not going the match ,if you can ,go to the march and lets make our voices heard. Igor.
