Rafael Benitez Delighted To Have Torres And Gerrard Back In Training
Submitted by Angel Fernandes on Thu, 2008-09-04 14:40.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez today revealed that Fernando Torres as well as skipper Steven Gerrard have resumed light training at Anfield.

The duo are hoping to attain full fitness ahead of the Premier League clash against defending champions Manchester United.

According to Benitez they can take up to “ten to twelve days” before making their comeback to first team action.

Currently Torres is nursing a hamstring tear that he picked up against Aston Villa at the weekend while Gerrard is on the way to recovery from a groin operation.

'Both players are now back jogging and will be out for ten to twelve days," said Benitez.

"Gerrard might be back before Torres but you never know."

Hopefully they will both play some part against the mancs, maybe Gerrard to start and Torres coming on once we are 3-0 up

from the moment we signed keane ive had a gut feeling he would score his first goal for us in this match, i think it will be 1-0 to us thanks to a keane winner, thats what my gut tells me anyway.

my head tells me it will be the same old :censored: with rio ferdinand scoring from a set piece in the 900th minute of injury time

It's about time we beat these inbreds, another defeat by Man Utd will put huge pressure on Benitez.

The time has come for Rafa to deliver, to mount a serious challenge.

It's a game that he can't afford to lose, especially at Anfield and against title contenders.

If Torres is back in light training already, then it was a hamstring strain he had, not a tear.  Good news.

Reina

Carragher        Skrtel        Agger          Dossena

Babel              Masch       Alonso         Riera

                     Kuyt         Keane

I'd personally play kuyt behind keane but i think rafa is going to play him upfront , we need 2 wingers for this game , we can't play narrow or we'd get murdered , throw riera in straightaway lets see what he can do against one of the best teams in the country . ALonso needs to step up if stevie does not make it , push up and let masch handle the back four . I'm going for a 1-0 win with keane getting the goal .

even without torres and gerrard, this looks like a decent team...

Waz wondering should we join up to a manc forum for a laught and have a joke with them few days before match.

Might be fun tho i don't want to do any thing agressive with them like childish death threats just bit of gabble.
