ok good result but a few down sides, we have basically papered over a few cracks here.

the main downside is it has extended rafas reign here, secondly we struggled to break down 10 men after their central defender was sent off, they then had to lose their second central defender before we managed to score, inter also had players out injured and players banned.

just thought i would put some perspective on matters before i read the rest of the thread which is no doubt full of 'rafa is a genius' comments while totally forgetting how sh*t we have been and this one result makes everything ok, as though the barnsley result has suddenly been reversed and we are in with a shout in the league.

no doubt some of you will call me a whinger, well ho hum

On another note, was it just me or did Gerrard seem to have a slight dig at Rafa in his post match interview??  When asked by the interviewer if Rafa deserved a special mention he said with a wry grin "I don't think we can single out any 1 person for praise, it was a team effort".  Possibly a dig at all the times Rafa has said the same about Gerrard.

I thought that as well mate

Me too, there was something there you could see it in his face, no way was he going to give Rafa any praise.

I had to feel sorry for Kuyt at the end when he tried to swop shirts , he always seems to have problems swopping his shirt.  :D

So what are you saying exactly 2-0 is not good enough agaist the strongest side in Italy? your showing your self up mate you really are. :no
Do you not understand the fact they had ten men in many ways made it harder because they could sit in and make it almost imposible to get in behind and if anyone can play for a 0-0 its them. As i said your showing you know very little about the game, any excuse eh.

Oh yer thanks for the perspective.

first off did you actually read my post?

the first thing I say is that it's a good result, however i am not going to go down the avenue of believing this one result makes everything else ok, far from it, it has not changed our league position, it has not put us back in the FA cup, it will not change rafas stupid policy of rotation and playing people out of position.

its papered over a few cracks, now quite how telling the truth shows me up i will never know

Yes those games Blatter is investigating atm.

Nope, sorry. It isn't happening.

So how will you score? Kuyt maybe again?

Why not? He scored today.

face it. You got lucky against 10 men late in the game against the worst Inter side I have seen in years.

Right and until your man was sent off Inter were dominating the game yes?

Face it Luigi, your team never showed up.

All you will do is defend and defend with 11 yes 11 not 10 men behind the ball for 90 minutes plus extra time. We will break you down in time.

You'll do nothing of the sort.

The only decent Italian team is AC Milan.

By this I assume you mean Aurellio being on the pitch rather than back in Spain?

:D
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

His touches, vision, creativity, shots, dribbling, technical ability and strength on the ball is simply all incredible and at times unseen before on football fields. Nobody is constantly class. Only Zanetti played on his real level tonight. Facts are you got lucky against 10 men for 2/3 of the game very late in the game against an Inter that probably played their worst game of the season.

As an Inter fan for years I can only say FORZA MATERAZZI.

See you in Milan. Hopefully the ref will have some class. We don’t need him to win.

Your teams ‘attacks’ made me laugh.

at least we had attacks for you to laugh at =)!.... 3 shots on goal?!?! please.......

Oh... and if Ibrahimovic is so good he "changes games at every moment by himself"... why didnt i see any "game changing moments"?!?! best player in the world?! now come on... biased much?!?!

Yes and you go on about them having to go down to ten men and then also having to lose another player and oh yes then you point out they also had players injured and banned so you grudingly give with one hand before trying to take with the other while completly missing the point that going down to ten man in many ways suited the Italians who wanted a nil nil anyway no doubt.
What has league possition and the FA cup got to do with this match had we won 8-0 we would still be out of both and you`d still be moaning so whats the difference.
Your being childish lad and you know it.
