I hope not but don't you think if Pennant isn't playing well he will put gerrard on the right with Sissoko, alonso and Mascherano to play in the middle.

You can almost guarantee Stevie will see some time on the right with Momo back and Mascherano finally cleared to play. I'll bet (anyone) we will see a few more goals from the captain when that happens.

Great news, I was begining to panic that they wouldn't sanction it. Quality player who I think will adapt well to the prem. Can't wait to see him play now :D

There is no doubt he is a quality player, I just hope he plays at his best and proves his time at west ham was down to the team he was in and not his inability to play in the premiership

Anyone knows what number he will have?  I heard it was Number 20 but don't know how good my source is
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

When Mashcarano and Tevez joined West Ham it was Tevez who got all the headslines but Mascharano is the much better player in my opinion although to be fair they play in different positions.

I think it's another good buy and he will add quality to an already impressive midfield.

Happy Days :D

Alonso, Garcia, Gerrard, Mascherano, Sissoko, Kewell, Gonzalez, Pennant, Guthrie and Anderson....

It is not far short of being a Midfield replete with all that is necessary to form the framework of a title winning squad, even allowing for one or two make-do's in the above. Add two quality full backs/wingbacks to the mix, as well as a prolific striker.....and you almost certainly will see the emergence of a truly awesome collection of talent, winning pot after pot.

delighted about this signing, this lad has soooo much potential, Very well regarded in Argentina and he is only 22....His world cup form was no flash in the pan, he was class with River Plate and he did well at Corinthians in Brazil until it went pearshaped there. I hope it works out for him and LFC.
