All players on a team have their roles. Crouch's role is not to score 30 goals a season. He can play with other strikers to set up a deadly strike-force. I don't get the Crouch-bashing. Not all players are flashy, pacey and etc... There is more to football than those traits. Crouch is still maturing and will be deadly not just because he'll score some goals, but also he can help set up others for strikes. Sure, Crouch isn't undroppable, but he certainly has a place on this team.
He does have a place on this team, a nice warm place is waiting for him on that subs bench while Bellamy and Kuyt are on the pitch actually playing Premiership-winning football and not mediocrethat Crouch brings to the team!

Of course, there will always be idiots who cannot look past Crouch's stature and physique; not only can they not see the good work he does, but they fail to realise that Crouch's physical attributes are what make him a unique weapon in English football. I'm glad he's here because he gives us an option that no other team in the Premiership has.
Anyone with half a brain who still doubts his importance should just look at the Sheffield United game. He was BADLY missed, as his ability to lead the line and shield the ball would have been much more valuable than Fowler's intellience and link play.

If that's at me I was quoting PabloAimar's earlier post. If it's at him then I'd quite like to know as well.

And I wish you'd change the bleedin' record, FFS. 129 posts and 129 digs at Crouch. You're as predictable--and about as welcome--as the runny beer sh!ts after a night on the lash.
