Peter crouch un-dropable?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

He's a good player. Done very well for us so far.

I think he needs to improve two things.

1- Muscle mass. He is tall, but "slight" and is often pushed off the ball by stronger players. He needs to add a bit of weight and then tighten that into some muscles for added strength and power. Not as much as Triple H though, because steroids make the testicles shrink.

2- Heading targeting. He does get to the high crosses, but sometimes they go astray. He needs to practice guiding his headers onto the target. If he can hit the target more often, he'll be more dangerous, since his height makes him impossible to deal with unless you wrap a cable around his legs, like Luke did to the Imperial Walker on Hoth.

Personall I think by this time next year, Peter Crouch will be lucky to get a substitute appearance for LFC.

You know, the fact that you're still here beating the anti-Crouch drum got me thinking about another clueless numpty that hasn't been seen around these parts for awhile...

Has anyone seen Liverpool Madman since we sent Cisse packing?  :D

Yes I have. It was on TV when Djibril was being interviewed. I could just make out the little cherub's face sticking out of CIsse's ar*e. :D

Crouch is our best forward atm. Not the best at each individual thing, as FOwler is the best finisher, header and mentally, Bellamy the pace-merchant, Kuyt the strongest, and Crouch the tallest.

When all's said and done, though, he's the best all-rounder at the minute.

It is amazing how we've all warmed to Crouch... I wasn't convinced when we were first going for him but he is now an integral part of our team... an excellent footballer and an excellent purchase IMHO

As soon as he went off yesterday we had problems, WH started to attack and their defence started to play nearly by the half way line.
It was like when Owen used to play for us defenders where terrified so 2 and 3 used to mark him, as soon as he went off they started to attack from the back.
The same thing is happening now when Crouch is subbed or doesnt play.
Rafa had a prediciment yesterday he could'nt sub Bellamy as he would have spat his dummy and Kuyt is some what a target man.

I think weve become over reliant on Crouch, and he was the reason last season we earned so many points, he is a vital member of the squad, I know he is not easy on the eye an not the most technicalbut we missed him yesterday when he went off.

So Rafa has a problem its a good problem to have that we have 4 choices now, but whats the best choice going to be without someone spitting their dummy out?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

None of them can afford to spit their dummies out or they can fu,ck off, they will all get their chance during the season because all things being well its going to be a long one and if they dont realise that rotation is part and parcel of football nowadays then they shouldnt be here but am sure the likes of bellamy do understand that their not gonna be in the team every week, he even said so in the community shield.

Rafa always seems to take crouch off first out of the strikers that are playing, he does work his socks off and yesterday maybe because west ham were playing dead far up the pitch he decided to put kuyt on who has more pace than crouch to exploit that and left bellamy on to use is pace to get in behind and on another day bellamy could have scored a few if he'd stayed onside

i think kuyt played some damn sexy football

kuyt and bellamy will be rafa's favourable strike force (i hope)

people are too keen to thank crouch and claim he's now a liverpool great. in my eyes, he's not a good footballer - he's just an annoyance for the opposition. you could play elton john or michael jordan up front and get a similar return.

fact of the matter is, how many times have you seen crouch landed with a golden opportunity to score and he doesnt? he scores the odd goal in a game where any other striker no doubt would have got his hat-trick.

have you ever seen him strike the ball sweetly, coz i STILL havent (even thought i thought 'striker' was a clue to that attribute being important). I've NEVER seen him SHOOT like a striker is expected to.

He cant header, cant shoot, he has no pace, no strength, no balance - like i sed 'a distraction' (elton john would be even better in this position)

and to finish - if he was still at southampton, do you think he'd have an england cap yet?

when defenders defend high up the pitch, isnt it a good thing when you have kuyt and bellamy on the field?

this is what i mean... CROUCH CROUCH CROUCH - just coz he's english
