After reading that last part about Klose, that wouldnt be a bad signing IMO, he looks like a real goal poacher and impressed during the WC.
I have only seen him for Germany but he IMO is what we need up front rather than another workhorse in the Crouch, Kuyt mould.

I just hope we sign someone quick. I can see a de ja vu around the corner any week now......

but if you want to believe the paper gossip then we could just take the 15Mil that Chelsea are going to give us for Riise and then we wouldnt have financial issues for Kuyt would we ?

The Kuyt situation is a repeat of last years saga.

In short they want more for the player than we can afford both then and now.

Klose is a player we can afford however. Like Pennant over Alves the price is key.

Right now we are buying who we can afford not who we prefer.

Unless Feynoord drop their asking price the deal is dead for Liverpool.

Jesus christ you lot are melodramatic.

We have agreed the fee with Feyenoord, so funds are not a problem. My understanding is that the only thing left to sort are personal terms with the player himself.

Just because the deal didn't take place over 48 hours doesn't mean it's not ticking along just fine.

I'd actually love them to be interested in Riise.

String them along for a couple of weeks, and then pull the rug from under them before they have time to sign someone else.

I heard that the fee has been agreed but they are now deciding how it will be paid, i.e installments, appearences etc etc, I'd expect him to be in a red shirt by the end of the week.
