Bye bye plastic fans - Switch the light off on the way out

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I often do not respond some good posts, because I have simply nothing to add, and I agree but I don't post to say that. But his post of yours JBG, is excellent. Congratulations.

Grow Up you soft Sod - The initial team selection must have brought cheers in the Benfica dressing room ( and I'm not talking about the defence)
Once again a BIG game and the wrong selection. Too much trying to be clever.

And don't call me a Plastic Supporter - Born and bred longer than YOU

Sir Bob " I don't change players unless I've got a better one and then ONLY one at a time"

1. Who is calling you a "plastic supporter"? I have never questioned you as a supporter, never on this place or elsewhere.

2. What has your point got to do with my point? Nothing at all.

Picking an arguement for the sake of it, either that or you completely misread or misinterpreted my post.

Keep a wide berth from me in future.

So what do we all do - say "good try , but not good enough !" " I agree than Hamman and Fowler shouldn't have started" "I think that Morro WILL come good"  That Cisse will stop sulking and Kewell's going to grow balls. We've got room for one, maybe two, "luxury" players.

We are carrying four. (Pick Your Own )

You are saying that everythings okeydokey apart from the result.

i If you hadbeen in the Albert last night when the team selection was announced to supporters who have followed this team all over the world you'd have seen the sense of doubt creeping in. I haven't followed Liverpool for 50 years to see us lose, I still lose a week out of my life when we get beat.
We we're going in the right way and we've boogered it up

No, I'm not saying its okeydokey Bull.

I'm just saying its not as bad as people make out.

We have a brutal forward line at the moment and I don't ever remember us being so shot shy.

Rafa aint perfect either, he makes a lot of mistakes.

As for the team selection, well, Riise did his hip, so there was nothing Rafa could do with that. Hyppia was also struggling, so the back line was forced on Rafa.

Personally I'd have played Hamman from the start instead of one of the front men or Garcia, but aside from that, my line up wouldn't have been much different from Rafa's.

As for the forward line at the moment, they are all as bad as each other.

I still don't think you are getting the point, and I suspect that if we were winning 4-0, you'd be whinging that we're not winning 5-0.  :Oo:

We've a good forward line. It is just that they will never mix in a month of sundays.
Wrong partnerships at the wrong time. If they don't gell them we are frigged.

All in favour of loyalty but this is taking the pyss

shut the door on your way out then JBG.

you seem to suggest people are not allowed a say in here, if it upsets the poor little lambs.

truth is, the boys in red surrendered their European crown last night to a team we are far stronger than, due to a problem that Rafa hasnt or wont fix at the moment.

anyway, we were supposed to be a stronger unit this season than last. benfica had two injuries for 1st leg but still won.

it dont agree with all this sentimental rubbish, singing YNWA after Benfica have just netted goal number two, when we should have been 4 up.

If I hear one more fan claiming that Milan Baros was a "great" Liverpool striker or how we are so far behind in the "EPL" (its the fu.cking league, nobody calls it the "E"  "P" f.uc.king "L") then the Mandible Claw is just going to have to come out.

Everytime I hear anyone say "EPL" I just cringe, like you say JBG...who the fook calls it that? I personally don't even use the term Champions League....it was the European Cup we won last year and the European Cup we got knocked out of last night....anyway, to your post JBG...I unreservedly and whole heartedly agree.
Our squad, our tactics, our mentality and above all our results this season have been as good as anytime since 2001 and the club looks in great shape. It is always exciting being a Liverpool supporter, I mean I swear blind we're gonna win the league every august but there is a genuine air of expectation around the club now and anyone who has supported Liverpool for longer than six years or so will know that these are very exciting times.
I am not saying that everything is perfect, the squad does need strengthening in places and we will need to spend in the summer. Our forwards have been woefully poor this year and indeed throughout the season and it is hard to know what to put this down to. Rafa's managerial ability cannot be questioned, he has got the most of players like Kewell and is tactically as good as anyone. Anyway, like I said, there is room to improve...BUT...I am very happy with this season. We have played like the European Champions that we are and the players have done the red shirt proud throught this very long season and if we can consolidate a top three finish and maybe get to the FA Cup final I for one will be smiling and as believing as ever come next August that we'll win the league next year....sorry the EPL!!!!!!!!! :D

We were forced into selling Owen for 8m when he was worth 25m.We would have looked like suckers paying 16m for him twelve months later.Rafa is no sucker.
