just wondered if anyone else has read robbies book and what you thought about it ? ive just finished it and found it a really eye opening read, if nothing else it just goes to show you what you read in the papers isnt always the way it happened ( as if anyone needed reminding of that  ). one part in particular(without ruining the whole book for anyone who hasnt read it ) . Phil thompson was a coach who would push youngsters to see how tough they were, and a lot of the young lads coming through f.ucking despised him for it. Im amazed he never got properley sparked out. One time i thought it was really going to kick off in the dressing room when he was reserves boss, when he started having a right go at a young striker called Wayne harrison, Wayne answered him back so tommo starts on with that old s.*i*e about putting your medals on the table. So wayne snapped back at him no f.uck it, lets put our f.ucking toes on the table. (tommo has only got 4 toes on one foot so you can imagin how ballistic he went). Everyone else in the dressing room was p.issing thems selves laughing and trying to push their fists in their mouths to muffle the noise.    Quality

Yeah I've read it twice actually.  It's a very good book.  He doesn't hold back at all.  I liked the Houllier chapter.  Says he wished Houllier had never walked through the doors of Anfield.  He systematically released statements in order to discredit Roy Evans (who Fowler has the utmost respect for and holds in the highest regard) and giving it the old "This job will take five years before Liverpool are even challenging for honours again."

If you haven't read it, read it.
