We dethroned the mancs! - Cl race now on...

Houllier choose to experiment again. Kewell ineffective up front. Owen isolated all game. Finnan right midfield? Puzzling!

But thank god to Gerrard. All action man all afternoon. Defence coped well. Mancs actually made us looked good at times. Murphy penalty was cool and composed. We just about shaved it.

BTW. First successful penalty conversion against Mancs in over 10 years.

What I meant was first successful penalty conversion for any team against ManUre at Old Trafford in over 10 years. Last who did it was Ruel Fox.

Players I will always back (yes even Biscan and Traore :D ) but Houllier? ... not anymore. We have declined under his management. With all the board and financial support given to him, he has not delivered his promise after 5 years. Time to make way. We can't progress and challange a#se and Chelski with him as manager.

Oh come off it - the time for these sorts of comments are after games like losing to Charlton, or not getting a result against Fulham. Playing the same old anti-Houllier record when we've just beaten Man U? For f##k's sake. Not a classic performance, but exactly the kind of result we should be grinding out more against lesser teams.

We are where we are, and if we're in the same place next season the board I know the board will do the right thing. Let's just back the manager and the lads to get us into the Champions League and give GH a clean slate for next season. Yes, Houllier f##ked about with the team, but if he did that every week and got us results like this then I wouldn't be grumbling. More please.

And while I'm at it, well done to Murphy. He's had a s##t old season, and it's great to hear his name being sung again. Hopefully this'll give him the lift he's needed for months.

Hey ivor a swallow doesnt make a summer, great as it is beating the scum at their kip.
We got a great result today but to start saying give houllier another season is madness.
The reasons we won today were mainly cuz we wanted it more and cuz the scum were so bad they even make us look good.
As far as I am concerned nothing has changed even if we get 4th it is still a terrible season and we are still 18pts behind the scum which is a joke.
We have had so much bad luck this season as houllier said with terrible injuries and so many funny decisions we have done brilliant just to be in the running for 4th place.
Well houllier maybe if we had any sort of a decent squad we could cope with injuries and even with all our players fit we still cant string a few wins together.
Can anybody confidently predict we will even get 2 wins from last 3 games???
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

In fairness I thought finnan played well on the right despite most of the ball going to ronaldos wing. Kewell deservedly topped the pole for worst signing of the year. He lacked everyrhing he hed at leeds. Gerrard was legendary and so was our defence. :p [quote]There are two great teams in liverpool, liverpool and liverpool reserves.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

We must give him one last chance. All we have to dois get fourth and he can spend the £30m budget on players like Cisse, Mexes and Wright Phillips.
