Dudek - 6. Composed, done what he had to do, wasn't really tested.

Finnan - 7. Good solid game, nothing specatular, defended well and kept the ball well.

Traore - 5. Poor positioning, poor control and disribution cost us alot of possession, made two excellent recovery tackles after bad mistakes.

Hyypia - 7. Won his headers, composed, calm, solid, usual self. Got dragged out wide once or twice, but thats not his fault when the left back goes missing.

Carragher - 8. Class alround performance. Good in the tackle and on the floor, bossed the backline.

Luis Garcia - 6. Worked hard, put in alot of effort but needs to be quicker and more decisive on the ball, being caught in possession far to much.

Riise - 7. Battled hard all game and done really well. Covering two positions again. Has a great engine and had a good effort well saved.

Alonso - 7. Not his usual self with his passing, tried a bit too hard, but his defensive play was again impeccable.

Biscan - 7. Good game, kept it simple, defended well and helped relieve pressure off the defence by taking extra touches in midfield.

Gerrard - 5. Poor game, went missing, looked like he didn't wanna know. If he wasn't fit, he shouldn't have started.

Baros - 6. Tried again, had a great header superbly saved but was never a real goal threat.

Subs:

Cisse - 6. Looked lively and pacey, didn't influence the game.

Best two players, Carragher and Biscan.

i disagree with 7 for traore. I thought joe cole exploited his lack of pace and he was skinned too many times.

Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

joe cole exposed his lack of pace? well good job it was traore or the situation would have been worse. traore would leave any of our other defenders for dead in a sprint and is probably second only behind cisse as the fastest member of our team, so joe would really have had a field day.
in my opinion traore played well against a player who is about as tricky as they come and as i mentioned before chelsea`s best chance came when gallas turned finnan inside out.
traore isnt my favourite player either but when people start slagging him off when he played well is unfair imo.
