Dudek - Is a scumbag in disguise

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I know Dudek took a lot of deserved stick for scums goal but I would just like to point something else out. I watched a rerun of it and what was Hyypia doing? I noticed Shrek got a lot of space at the time but when you see it again Sami actually had the shot covered and pulled back out of the way as he let it go. I've noticed him doing that before when forwards shoot from distance - I suppose he's presuming that they can't score from there but fatboy has got a bit of a shot and we've got Dudek in goal.  :(

Dudek has said in the Lpool Post this morning that the shot was swerving and fast and that he had it covered but it was so difficult it went under his arm.

Now this is absolute ******, it wasn't fast, it wasn't swerving (well hardly) and it wasn't difficult.

Utter boolocks, he's just lost my vote but then what else can he say/

i don't agree with that at all but i can understand why he says it. it's all psychological. (believe me, i have a degree in psychology).  :D

simply put, a mistake will stay with him for a few weeks every time he touches the ball. half of the problem for him will be mental so if he blocks it out and says it's not his fault (and keeps saying it) then he'll believe it.

he's our keeper for the next 3 months at least, like it or lump it. (unless rafa has a card up his sleeve in the transfer market or decides to play luzi or harrision - yeah right!)

Dudek is a world class keeper who's won us more games than he's lost.  Back in 2002 a lot of people were saying he was the best in the world.  Just don't put him in against Man Utd again!

i think dudeks days are numbered now, he hasnt been the same since he let forlans score those goals are couple years back. For now he's secure (coz theres no one else) but i very much doubt he'll be our keeper next season

Dudek is not a bad keeper, but if there are better keepers out there we should be trying to get them.  This season so far has all been about improving areas of the field.

We have improved the defence with the purchase of Pelegrino, and Jamie Carragher playing at centreback in nearly every game

We have improved midfield with the purchase of Alonso, and even old players like IGOR seeming to have more confidence and playing better when called upon.  Also, (this is not going to make me popular) but I like Garcia.  He's not the finsihed article but I like him

We have improved the attacking line with Morientes (and Cisse).

BUT NOTHING ON GOAL KEEPERS.

My first choice would be Cudicinni (Sorry AB, I know I am an idiot and Morinio will probably not let him go, but) he is class and I don't think he is happy sitting on the bench.  Another keeper who I rate in Greene from Norwich.

Dudek has given some great service over the last few years but I don't think he is world class, and if we are building a team capable of winning the premiership and European trophies we need to improve the man at the back.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I reviewed the match. It looks like (not sure) Hyypia had some seconds thinking whether he should pass the ball to Dudek or sweep it away. He decided to skip the ball to Dudek, as he probably assumed the ball was not too fast to catch. This quick decision might have affected Dudek decision for some milli-seconds.

Hyypia was positioned between the ball and Dudek before the goal happened. The ball passed Hyypia before being caught (and failed) by Dudek.

Sami could not have done a thing, the ball was hit with great pace and was moving all over the place.  Dudek shuld have stopped it.. end of!!!
