Blessing in disguise or fixture ****** up ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby KARMANI » Mon Feb 14, 2005 5:14 pm

As usual after a poor performance, I spend a while looking at our next couple of fixtures, to see what we're in store for.
At first I couldn't believe my eyes :suspect:
I re-checked :suspect:

Are you aware, we play only two league games in 48 days
12 feb to 1 April is the biggest blank in Premiership football I've ever seen.

Do you think it's a blessing in disguise based on our current form, or do you find the situation ridiculous.
I've always believed it's best to play yourself out of a poor spell, but looking at fixtures over the next, near 7 weeks, I'm worried that things dont look good for our cause.

What's your opinion ?

I'd rather play them all in the next 2 weeks and call it a day for this season.

Roll on 2005-2006 season. It'll be OUR season - :)

We'll definitely be better next year. I'm not sure we'll see a Championship challenge, but we'll be a lot better.

hence another season of whinging on this forum from fans who demand instant success, it will take time to rid the squad of potential greats like cheroyu and deadwood such as hyypia and dudek, but i have faith that next season we will look a stronger outfir and getting fourth place will be a formality

Because we play Chelsea in the Carling Cup final we don't play Blackburn on the 26th so we will not play in the Premiership for two weeks. The Blackburn fixture has to be rescheduled for another date.

I'm looking forward to it, I don't see why a LFC fan wouldn't be looking forward to it.

the form at the moment and the lack of conviction doesnt inspire me at all.  hope to god we get our acts together before that game, and then i might fancy our chances more.

you cant say you fancy our chances after saturdays performance

Let me ask you a question, did you look forward to the game against Arsenal earlier this season? The game before that we lost to Boro 2-0, outplayed and outclassed, same like we were on Saturday.

What happened after the game against Boro? We played one of the best games of the season and beat Arsenal 2-1. I fancy us to win it.

chelsea are hardly setting the world on fire at the moment. if it wasn't for the fact that their defence is so strong, i'd fancy us even more. without robben, they look generally devoid of ideas.

however our key players, i.e. dudek, carragher, gerrard, morientes need to bring their "a game" otherwise we have no chance.
