Dudek - Is a scumbag in disguise

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Dudek insists he was 'unlucky' with the shot from Wayne Rooney that gave Manchester United victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
Rooney's speculative 21st minute effort squirmed agonisingly under Dudek?s body and secured all three points for United.

But the Polish keeper has come out fighting amid criticism that he was to blame for costing the Reds the game.

"The ball was swerving a bit, and it was unlucky for me because it was his first shot on goal," he explained defiantly afterwards. "I knew he was lining up the shot - I saw it all the way. I had a good view of it. I don't know what happened, but I believed it moved at the end.

"It didn't go through my hands, it went under them. It was impossible to catch the ball, so I was concentrating on trying to parry it to the side. We know what Wayne Rooney's like when he's out on the pitch, we know he likes to have a shot on goal.

"When he gets in space and gets it on his right foot you know he's going to have a go. He has a powerful shot, he only had one shot but that's all he needs.

"The manager was watching me after that to see how I performed, and I think I did okay. I think I was very unlucky, and when you concede a goal like that you can say you had much more to do than you did.

"I think with a bit of luck, perhaps, I should have kept it out. But the ball moved and I couldn't do anything about that."

Isnt this about the fact that Hypia didn't close Shrek down and turned away from the shot.

Only explanation I can come up with.

As for the quotes from Dudek I've sussed it out just like Mancs has he's prone to the strikers shot, if a forward uses one on him then thats his weakness!!!!

He should have stopped it.....but its not a clanger as what the papers are reporting.... Roy caroll against spurs is a clanger. Lets just get behind him....we have no other goalkeeper to get behind.

Who we gonna get that cud do the job? Cudicini aint leavin Chelski and there aint another side in the Prem with a keeper not prone to droppin a big one. I take it all the guys postin here live perfect lives and dont make mistakes? Get real, we have - on his day - a great keeper in Dudek. So do alot of clubs, it's jus the only 2 WORLD CLASS premiership keepers are paid in Russian bank rolled cheques.

There's no such thing as a great keeper ON HIS DAY, forwards are allowed to turn it on now and then but for a goalie you need consistency. All goalies drop some clangers but dudek seems to do it against Manu every bloody time.

The goal was a clanger.

He should admit he was at fault, all players make mistakes but it pisses off fans when they refuse to admit it.

I would strengthen other areas first though, I don't think he is a bad goalie.

It is frustrating though seeing goalies like Brad Friedal doing so well over the last few years.

The fans have got to support the goalie as he will be there for the rest of the season.

Unfortunately 'on his day' applies to all except one Premiership keeper at the minute, and Cech aint up for sale . Yes the goal was a clanger, but thruout the season its one that other keepers have equalled - if not beaten - quite regularly, except at Chelski.
I do hold the sentiment that players shouldn't have off days, but thats cuz its the team I support, not the individual so whilst I agree keepers have to be consistent, so should forwards, defenders, midfielders and the guy sellin programmes at the gate!
And I've supported Dudek since he arrived here, despite the Forlan/Giggs/Shrek incidents. That aint sarcasm Big Niall, jus so you know, but me bein me, lovin the Reds

peter cech is awesome but the guy's hardly been tested has he? he's got such a good defence infront of him that he could put his feet up for 80 minutes of most matches.

As for "typical juvenile" well "I'm rubber your glue, what you say bounces off me and sticks to you".

Kenny probably wishes he never played here if it results in guys like you taking his name.

Get a life!

How are you supposed to sense sarcasm in written words?

I presume you meant post and not e-mail btw.  :D

Hi Big Niall, if your going to insult me then please do so by PM :D  I don't think the rest on here want to hear it to be honest. Save it for me i wil enjoy it !

My "juvenile" comment was as a result of your foul mouthed and reactive post reagrding Dudek.

Sarcasm is a lot cleverer than calling a  LFC player a C*** and offering to kneecap him.
