Dudek - Is a scumbag in disguise

Soronsen or Niemi (when Soton go down).

A typical outburst from the juvenile that is "Big Niall" but doesn't hide the fact we need a new keeper.

Interesting thing is that Niemi would go to Arsenal or Man Utd if he were to consider a move from Soton.

once, twice, thrice. 3 years in a row Dudek has folded against Liverpool's most hatred rivals.

Not up to big games.

Just not up to it.

The goal he flapped at killed us. You could just see the team's confidence drop. Heads down all over the place.

You cannot let you team mates and supporters down like that.

I can live with a junior keeper playing and make those mistakes. Not a so called international.

Westervald was offloaded for making less critical errors.

Niemie, van der Saar or Cudicini need to come in or we'll miss 4th spot. These days, players have more of a say than clubs about leaving.

.

Couldnt agree more. He is just not up to it. Unfortunately the other option (Kirkland) has got the talent but also has the dreaded hypo-brittle vertebrata disease. Time to find another keeper imo.

We dont need a new keeper!!

Dont tell me each time our keeper makes a mistake (silly), we break the bank to get a new one!! We've been struggling in our goalkeeping dept since bruce grob and each time the current keeper makes a mistake, we get a new keeper.

Did it solve the problem then?

Given that it failed to solve the problem then, do you think it will solve the problem now?

Let's try getting behind our goalie and give him the support he now needs!!We all know that dudek has the ability, its the confidence thats lacking..come'on boys, enough of this 'we need a new keeper' sh!t...

we need a new keeper.

dudek has been a good servant for the club, playing decent in most games, always patiently waiting his chance when he's on the bench etc etc. i don't think the sentiments about changing him are purely based on the manure game and his mistake - that is the single worst time to make a mistake and its going to get the spotlight. for quite sometime there has been talk about replacing him from this forum.

dudek is simply not of the quality we need to fulfil the ambitions of the club as a number one keeper. and neither is kirkland. we need to get a top keeper as its one of the most important positions on the pitch. the last thing we need is our defence, which has been pretty good this season, to start losing confidence in the keeper and not playing their natural game because of it.

ssss, the reasons why replacing the keeper hasn't worked in the past is because we've never replaced anyone with a top quality, always consistent keeper. we need to address this during the january transfer window - the later stages of the CL are going to ask the toughest questions of the season of the keeper. i really doubt that either of ours are up to it.

Dalglish - if you couldn't sense the sarcasm (knee capping etc) in the e-mail that says more about you than me.

As for "typical juvenile" well "I'm rubber your glue, what you say bounces off me and sticks to you".

Kenny probably wishes he never played here if it results in guys like you taking his name.

Get a life!

Incidently no team has ever scored 2 goals past us this season, its only ever been one goal, sometimes weve come back and scored more but it wasnt the case on saturday.
This proves our keepers and defenders have only let one goal go in.
Things could be worse.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

He's had 3 seasons to get that confidence. Or didnt you see it the first time he embarassed himself and the club against the mancs?

How long does it take to get confident?

Neither Dudek nor Kirkland are good enough. Dudek, although ironically he has better games to goals conceded than Kirkland this season (that is because he played less) is very prone to making howlers far too often to be a good enough 'keeper and Kirkland, while seemingly less prone to make howlers and makes more saves than Dudek (based on my observation as he can stop shots better), is also prone to letting in goals which a top 'keeper like Cech, Cudicini, Niemi etc would make.

The big question is how do we cope if we fail to land a new 'keeper? Dudek is a howler waiting to happen while Kirkland is useless if he keeps getting injured.

Totally agree, we don't need any knee jerk reactions and going out and buying a new keeper. I don't suppose anyone feels as bad about what happend as Dudek. Yes it was a major mistake but we should have at least rescued a point from the game.
What Dudek needs is for everyone to get behind him and support him now. Just remember he has saved us far more times than cost us.

Ive just been on the Liverpool site where Dudek was interviewed about the match and goal. Hes claiming that the ball moved and i believe him, i watched the goal a number of times via reply and by watching close i could see something definitely happened, just couldnt put my finger on it.

Now if that is true, how can you blame him?

Give the guy a break, he being doing well for us.

Dudek made one mistake. Lets put that into perspective with mislaid passes, glory hunting goal attempts and out of position defendin. Its jus unfortunate that when the Dude makes a mistakle, the ball ends up in the net. Believe me, there aint no-one alive hates the mancs more than me (I have no bias - I dont care who beats the cnuts) and if I'd had a cat on Saturday mornin it would have hit the wall Saturday afternoon, but slammin him and callin for his head aint gonna make him play better Tuesday is it?
I've championed his cause here often, I aint gonna change now. But, maybe we could put someone else in goal against them next time!!  :p
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road
