All i know is letting him walk away for free is just stupid.

Agreed! We will save 20-25million on his salary but cannot see why we couldn’t get at least 50m when he goes. If he goes to Saudi they could pay him 200m a year, why couldn’t they pay 50m to buy him, unless he is buying out his own contract.

Even if we got 10 or 20 for him its still better than nothing. Makes me think he doesnt want to go to Saudi yet and has an offer elsewhere but that Club wont pay a transfer fee. Allowing him to get everything he wants is a bad move and sends out the wrong message to other big players.

I'd bench him for the rest of the season as hes already out the door and offering nothing on the pitch other than silly smiles when he makes a balls out of any chance he gets.

The fact it took this manager so long to see Mo was no longer the player he once was is one of the main reasons i want him gone. Desperately sad for Mo's Liverpool career to end this way [poor performances, missed pens etc] but no one escapes the clutches of father time not even an all time great like Mo Salah.

To be fair had he benched Mo and results didn’t go our way everyone would have said how can you bench the great Mo Salah, “give him time and he’ll come good”. It’s a results business and if you lose everyone will think your a c.unt and if you win everyone will think you’re the dogs balls.

Mo Salah on X

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.

Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.

Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.

Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.

As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Mo's reference to heavy metal football is clearly a dig at Slot, i dont think many would disagree with him whether he should be saying it is another matter. Once he leaves he can say whatever he wants about us he has certainly earned that right but i'm not sure players criticising managers on social media is the way forward.

Didn't like it when he spoke to the media back in December and I don't like this now. He probably wouldn't even be saying anything had he been given the Gakpo treatment, he's only speaking out because he thinks he hasn't been treated fairly by Slot because he doesn't play every minute of every match, he can't accept that he's also on the decline.

Having said that, he's also spot on in what he's saying, and almost all of our players have liked his post too, which might indicate Slot has lost the dressing room.

He’s only speaking the truth.
“You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it.”

He disrespected Klopp also when Klopp was the manager. Inappropriate behavior from a professional. He’s making 400k per week, he owes the club not the other way around. Whether true or not it’s out of line.

Salah can do one imo but in this instance he's not telling lies!! The football we played this year was absolute dirt and about as competitive as a paper bag in the rain. Hes just saying what we all knew and those comments are more as a fan than a player. Its obviously killing him as well as us watching the same uninspiring sh1t week in week out. Its not ideal that he said this stuff but he's gone in a few weeks so couldn't give a fook.

If the other players liked his post then Slot has truly lost the dressing room.  They need to get rid of him now if that's the case.

Watching Mo this year he could not beat a man and missed so many chances to assist or score, not sure his poor season has anything to do with Slot. It’s the fans that should be saying that and not a player looking for excuses for his poor play. I think Mo has split the dressing room and has been reason we have no chemistry. He threw his toys out of the pram when Klopp didn’t play him, he threw his toys out of the pram when Slot never played him. He is a major reason we were so poor this year. He won us a lot, but this year he was poor.

Yeah Salah has been awful this year and truth is even though his stats where through the roof last year his performances weren't. The whole team bent over for him but you could see the decline coming. I said it at the time I wouldn't give him a new deal and he could follow Trent out the door.  Not sure I'd say he split the dressing room as most of it sided with him in liking his post. He didn't get that support from his earlier outburst.  Anyway I wouldn't blame Slot for Salah but would for a lot of other stuff Mate. Anyway I'm happy Mo is finally going but think he should have went last summer instead of tainting his legacy with those antics this season.

Bar the season his been consistent every year, what a legend Mo has been for us. I'll miss his songs, his goals, what a lad.

2 legend left now in Alli and VVD.
