Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If we go undefeated in December in the league then I don't think anyone will be catching us.

The fact we are winning games with heavy squad rotation is hugely important.

It is hugely important, most of our players have played a hell of lot of football over the last 2-3 years and a fair few of them barely had a pre-season as well, if we can rotate though (and still win obviously!) a lot of those concerns about fatigue etc will be negated.
Players like Gomez, Origi, Shaq, Keita, Lallana etc etc have a massive role to play.

Klopp is faced with a massive opportunity to change the culture of the squad into 'rotation is normal' made sweet simply by the way we're winning every game. If Ole tried it at United it would annoy the fans, unsettle the players and give the impression he doesn't know what he's doing because he keeps chopping and changing, whereas with LFC winning we all understand and accept the logic. Lets hope the team rolls in and out all season as by end season it will be accepted as normal and we'll get far better bang for our buck as the players will have proper rest time. Interesting times.

Dare I say it, but I no longer think it's a case of 'if' we win the league, but the process in which we do it.

My gut tells me that Klopp wants to do it with 100+ points undefeated.

Strange how we went through a good few years without a trophy and in the space of a few we could almost win everything.
If we bag the EPL all Klopp will have left is the FA cup/ League cup and Charity shield.

EPL -
Champs League - TICK
Super cup - TICK
World club cup - TICK
League cup -
FA cup -
Charity Shield-

Half way through, 13 points ahead of everyone and with a game in hand.

Not bad.

That felt so good. Ultimate plastic team and an overhyped Pep gets crushed :-)

Yep, there's still half the season to go plus a lot of our players barely had a pre season so we don't know how that will affect us down the home stretch, not to mention what would happen if say big Virgil and/or Sadio picked up long term injuries.
The finishing line is still way too far off for us to start celebrating yet, besides celebrating early is not the Liverpool way, it goes against everything the likes of Bill, Bob, Joe etc tried to instil in this club and it goes against everything Jurgen is trying to do as well, we all know how he operates, it's not about the past or the future it's just about the next game, if you want to get the bristles up on Jurgen's back go sit in a press conference and suggest to him that the title is already in the bag, nothing seems to annoy him more than a journalist suggesting something is done and dusted.
Complacency hasn't just wrecked title challenges it's sunk ships and crashed aeroplanes so we need to stay focused, who would have thought that arguably this clubs greatest ever player would slip over when we were 5 points clear with 3 games to go?
That being said, for us not to win the title from here something disasterous would have to happen, it going to take something a lot more catastrophic than 1 slip for us to blow a double digit lead that's for sure.
Let's stay focused and see out the rest of the season. Some of us have waited 29 and a half years for this, I'm sure we can wait another 5 months.

Yeah, not getting carried away here ! Although much of the media and loads of pundits are claiming it's already over, a few more injuries in vital area's could derail our march to the finishing line.

I'm not forgetting that on December 29th last year we destroyed Arsenal 5-1 and sat at the top of the table nine points clear of Spurs and ten points clear of Man City, and then the wheels came off the wagon.

We now have a bigger gap than we had at this time last year,  but I'm not taking anything for granted.
