He failed to impress when given the chance last season and while I'd agree that we could have set the stage a bit better for him (position he played, chance to string strarts, etc.) he really didnt look like a supremely talented player struggling for form (take the examples of Di Maria and Depay at Utd). He'll do better in Turkey and given his age he'll no doubt improve as a player. Whether he'll ever be good enough for a regular place in the starting 11 I have serious doubts.
agree with this, with Markovic its definitely a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder, although he can have legit grievances about the amount of opportunity he was given, Markovic showed barely any noticeable talent when he did play. Even when good talented players are struggling you can see something that makes their talent obvious, whether it be their touch, a glimpse skill, some vision etc can anyone honestly say that Markovic ever looked like any kind of serious talent? his dribbling was nothing more than kick and run, his passing was average and he carried an average goal threat, i have serious doubts that he is anything more than a decent player, hopefully this loan move will benefit him at least he will be playing regularly.
