Again BR coming out with soundbites and getting defensive. I don't know why he just doesn't keep quiet and just focus on stringing results together rather than feeling the need to open his mouth.

I want him to do well but he doesn't help himself and never seems to learn when it comes to opening his trap.

Best thing he could have done after the win was to talk about getting on a run and getting our season on track

He really does show real naivety.

What Rodgers is neatly sidestepping is the fact that after the sale of our prized assets he was given the money to buy new tools to do the f'ucking work !!!

Instead of putting together a small kit of high quality "tools" he went and bought a chest full of overpriced substandard ones, and all that after he'd declared post Suarez's departure "I intend to bring in 3 or 4 quality players"

We fans are of course still waiting to see them to being delivered    :glare:

I think he's crumbling mate ,even the media are hesitant to defend the man after his latest protestations. The fans want him gone ,but the concept of this is  completely alien to this seemingly impervious ego . It seems to me the man has placed himself on a rather lofty pedestal after finishing second ,and he honestly believes this makes him untouchable.

What he's essentially saying is that without Suarez the Tool, we would never have finished in second place, something most of us already know. Also remember that whilst Brendan takes credit for finishing second, he also claimed that fifth is "where we're at" and that on that occasion we'd punched above our weight.
So is he a great manager who managed to lift a team containing Gerrard, Sterling, Coutinho and S&S (but no other worthwhile tools) to second place, or is he a enigma who has in fact sold all his best tools and replaced them with cheap ones? Either way, £300m and three seasons later....

However the majority of us never wanted Rodgers here in the first place, me included. It was outrageous when the appointment was made. We all knew from then Dodgers would take small steps forward and huge leaps backwards and that he had no aptitude to do the job due to his inexperience with class players and barely any experience in European football. I sincerely hope these idiot owners of ours take a reality check to reflect on how much time they have wasted due to erratic managerial under-performers and then providing opportunities and chances to amateurs in an era where its quite paramount that we quickly are no longer the force we once were.

Fan expectation has also dramatically changed and we as fans expect Rodgers delivers top 4 (ideally 1st or 2nd again) and win silverware greater than the League Cup itself. Time is running out and I do not expect him to go on a 11-12 run streak like he did last year.

On the other hand we seem to have great squad who know their potential (including our loan players too), however as I pointed out in the Luis Alberto thread, Dodgers struggles to bring the best of the players that are currently on form at their loan clubs.

With all these rumours that Flopp will replacing Rodgers soon, will Flopp really bring instant results and progression compared to the likes of Ancelotti ? Should Ancelotti be interested I would take on in a heartbeat. As someone on this forum kindly pointed out, he would be a very safe pair of hands.

when you say Flopp do you see him as a flop or is just a slip of the finger and would your preferrence be hankiesnottie as replacement for Bodgers.

This really is the moneyshot......... a hodgson like comment........ this really defines Rodgers the man.

He basically thinks LFC did not exist before he ascended to the throne. He actually thinks LFC is a small time no mark team similar to the likes of Watford,Reading and Swansea....

We won the f**king champions league FFS ....7 years before that fraud took over this team. The season before he took over this team, we won the league cup and reached the FA final (losing to the eventual European champions)....which meant the king had to sacrifice our league form to ensure we do well in the cups. If we had lost in the 3rd round of the FA cup...you can bet your bottom dollar that the king would have made sure we finished as high up the table as we could (my prediction - 5th). Us finishing 8th.....has given Rodgers a free pass among the "super-fans"....  :no

Ever since that fraud took over....we have re-written lots of unwanted records (worst start to a season in half a century, worst league defeat, worst home defeat, LFC fans booing 3 times in the carlie match....etc, the worst goal difference to a season I can remember....).

This is just shocking...I am lost for words.

Rodgers actually thinks he did a good job in his tenure here. I really can't believe it.....but he actually thinks that he did an awesome job.........  :wwww

We have to get rid of this fraud ASAP.

Nice post.
RE; Ancelotti - There isn't much point bringing him in unless a deal is made that Carra (and one day Gerrard) are brought in as his understudies; especially Carra. Otherwise we'll just be in the same position 3-4 seasons down the road. Two steps forward - Three steps backwards.
