Personally wouldn't go for Ancelotti he is a big club manager meaning he likes getting the support and unlimited funding from the owner going for the big stars and not a lot of creativity and imagination.

For that reason he'd probably not join. If FSG wanted a top manager then they'd need to change their philosophy.

I hope someone saves us and FSG sell up. Failing that, they need to let football people take care of the football. Worse case scenario is Rodgers to stay or to bring in someone else who'd agree to selling our best players and bringing in poo.

Not necessarily agree...We can't compete with the likes of City or Chelsea budget wise but we have enough to compete IF we bring the right professional managers which can give great value to the club; likes of Klopp even Bilich from Westham or Emeri from Sevilla and a few others which have the passion and the knowhow to create a lot.

Aren't there a lot of restrictions in place on transfers? I don't know the facts on that. But if CA was allowed the same money as BR and also allowed to spend it freely, then he'd probably leap at the chance. But if he were to talk to them and they wanted him to some daft philosophy that ties his hands behind his back then maybe not.

I guess what I'm wondering is if BR signed players based on the pull of his reputation (ie mostly little known) or does he sign them because of restrictions placed by the board.

I don't buy into this brutal transfer restrictions look how much we splashed on the sorts of Firmino Benteke Marco and others...So no it's not funny money but still very big sums ;problem is that BR and his supporting cast of idiots didn't sign the right positions and when they did it was half a gamble or a result just a very pathetic level of scouting...Poor professionalism in the transfer market. I think CA is more into players which are bit above our capabilities that is why we should look for those managers which can track and sign players with great value but not neccesserly huge price tag.

Our nett spend isn't particularly big though, yes Brendan has spent a lot but most of that money was generated by the sales of Suarez and Sterling, we haven't got an endless supply of players that other clubs are willing to spend £50m+ on.
It's all academic now anyway given the clubs statement earlier on but Ancelotti probably wouldn't be the best fit for us all things considered.

Graham Beecroft just said hes gone if we dont beat Carlisle and only a couple of close allies are keeping him in a job with Henry and Werner wanting rid in Boston, hanging by a thread.

All the passion is getting sucked out of this club at the moment.. The fans are down and unfortunately it's rubbing off on the players. His time is up regardless of the result tonight.
