Match vs Tottenham 15.12.2013

Mignolet - 6 - had 0 shots on his goal so...
Johnson - 6
Skrtel - 7
Sakho - 8 - probably the main reason why we had zero shots on our goal. Hardly anything went past him. Beast of a man
Flanagan - 7 - very well taken goal
Lucas - 5 - I'm sorry but Lucas was bad today. Hardly won any tackle and made a lot of mistakes that could have costed us
Allen - 6
Henderson - 9 - amazing work rate, good passing, a goal and an assist, all done at a crucial time of the game. Definitely MOTM
Sterling - 7 - best game of the season for him so far and deserved his goal
Coutinho - 6
Suarez - 8 - 2 goals and 2 assists, what more can we ask? Unstoppable really

Subs:
Alberto - 6 - only had a few minutes and made a good assist. Deserves to start a game IMO. I'd start him instead of Lucas vs Cardiff

Mignolet - 5 - His distribution was average, could really make amends though as had nothing to do.
Johnson - 6 - Nothing wrong, nothing, great, had one good effort at goal
Skrtel - 6 - Was usual shakey self on the ball, untested defensively
Sakho - 7 - Second really positive display in a row. Largely untested, made one half mistake but very good generally.
Flanagan - 8 - Great finish, unlucky not to grab a second late on, superb.
Lucas - 5 - Another nothing performance, however can forgive this as most of Spurs attacks broke down at our first line of defence.
Allen - 8 - Best game in a red shirt, passing was crisp, tackling was frequent and accurate and movement was good.
Henderson - 8 - Best game in a red shirt also, tackled, ran, passed, headed, scored... shame he doesn't produce that more often.
Sterling - 7 - Best game in a red shirt x3, scored a good goal, should have had one earlier, movement was good, linked well.
Coutinho - 8 - Outstanding with his passing, movement and quality. Nearly MOM.
Suarez - 10 - Absolutely f*cking magician. Industrious one aswell.

Subs:
Alberto - 6 - Great ball for Luis second, not on long enough to influence, like his vision and technique though.
Moses - As long as he keeps performing to that level I'll have no complaints :;):

Spurs - One of the worst performances I've ever seen from a premier league side!

Mignolet - 6 - Didn't have much to do. Made one small error which almost resulted in a goal against us.
Johnson - 5 - Thought he was defensively poor and didn't offer much up front. He got beat time and again and was the source of all Spurs' attacks.
Skrtel - 6 - A few good headers out but not really tested.
Sakho - 8 - I love the lad's ability to pass the ball out.
Flanagan - 8 - +1 for great finish. He worked well defensively.
Lucas - 5 - Lost the ball many many times, just that Spurs didn't capitalize. Recent dip in form for sure.
Allen - 6 - I thought he did well, worked hard.
Henderson - 9 - Was actually really creative with his passing, and created quite a few chances! Took his chances, broke attacks down, MOTM (apart from Suarez)
Sterling - 8 - Finally looking like his old self, had a great game. Happy for him.
Coutinho - 7 - Some good passes but many off passes this game. Been unlucky recently - all his beautiful chances that end up being a 1-on-1 for the attacker don't get converted.
Suarez - 9 - Love the guy. His genius is unbelievable.

Mignolet - 4 Watched the full match again this morning and on second viewing what little he had to do Mignolet did poorly, he was an accident waiting to happen. Got away with at least two BIG errors that better teams would have scored from.
Johnson - 5 Didn't do much wrong but I thought his performance was poor compared to that of the rest of the team
Skrtel - 7
Sakho - 8
Flanagan - 7
Lucas - 6
Allen - 7
Henderson - 8
Sterling - 7
Coutinho - 7

Vs Cardiff 21/12/2013

Mignolet - 6 - Largely untroubled, done ok, nothing he could do about the goal, maybe better and earlier communication.

Johnson - 6 - Done ok, lost the ball a few times, provided good width.
Skrtel - 6 - Could have given away a pen, him and Sahko need to learn how to command a defence. Some good inteceptions.
Sahko - 7 - Should have communicated better for the goal, however, good alround performance, seems to be growing.
Flannagan - 6 - Got rinsed a couple of times early on but soon settled, solid enough.

Lucas - 6 - Didn't really do anything, won a couple of tackles, bit static, solid enough.
Allen - 7 - Really starting to play well, pressing is quality and keeping the ball moving superbly. Good awareness and movement.
Henderson - 8 - Superb game, good passes, loads of running, loads of pressing. Generally all over the pitch.

Sterling - 7 - Third week in a row, best performance in a red shirt. Made up with him.
Coutinho - 7 - Tireless, great passer, great link up and helps us dominate games. Quality even when not at his absolute best.

Suarez - 9 - f*ck OFF! :D

Subs:

Kelly - 5 - Didn't do alot wrong but we struggled when he was introduced, didn't really affect the game at all.

Mig - 6, Hasn't had to be at his best with the reds persistently pressing for a goal.
Johnson -5, Possibly one of our weakest players just lately.
Sahko - 8, I thought the scary looking fella at the back was formidable earlier....and his passing out from the back particularly impressive.
Skertel - 6, Sailing dangerously close to leaving the field and rendering the reds bereft of a defender with some blatant holding.
Flanno - 8, I thought the kid was exceptional today, and used every opportunity to push forward to support the attack.
Lucas - 8, In the second half Lucas was forced to drop deeper and sit in front of our back four, where he constantly battled a fired up Cardiff team.
Allen - 7, A decent display ,but tired significantly in the second half.
Henderson -9, Linked everything and passed the ball quickly and intelligently ,the pass that split the Cardiff defence and led to the goal was sublime.
Coutinho - 8, Starting to play with a renewed vigour ,and this performance sees him well on his way to regaining the form that had us all collectively drooling.
Sterling - 8 ,Some of the balls he whipped in were exceptional, and the pace he used to tear past Cardiff's back line time and time again was phenomenal.
Suarez- 10, His application and passion for this game is unsurpassed ,and his outrageous talent at times stills the breath in my throat.

Agger-6  I thought he brought an added touch of composure to our midfield when he was introduced for Coutz
Kelly -5  Ridiculously out of position for Cardiff's goal ,but he was introduced under baffling circumstances.

Rodgers 8/10 Strange decision to rest Flanagan and reshuffle our back line ,because it handed the impetus firmly back to Cardiff, but nevertheless
a fantastic dominant and cohesive performance ,with the players once again playing the type of football they were bought for.

mingy -6  id say he was freezing for most of it
johnson - 6 was ok, should have been subbed instead of flanno/needs proper competition and a kick up the ar$e
skrtel - 7 good game
sakho - 7 good game also
flanno - 6 dont know why he was taken off
lucas - 7 my god   :D  i seen him at the edge of their box at one stage, good game
allen - 6 was ok, bit sloppy at times especially around their box
hendo - 8  second best player on the pitch again
coutinho - 7 good game just needs to work on the power of his shots
sterling - 8 the most consistent he has ever been and looks to be gaining confidence in his ability
suarez - 10 first time i have ever given anyone that  :bowdown

kelly - 5 thought he got a bit of stick unfairly in the match thread. its his first game in ages
agger - 6  helped us get a foot in again and fair play to suarez handing over the armband.

again we conceeded sloppily from a set piece, there was 2 players behind sakho and no organisation. mingy needs to be more vocal there for me making sure his defence is switched on.
