Ya know when you step outside, expecting rain, but really mister sun has got his hat on, at least for a bit, well, hurray :)

My impatience comes from seeing players who quite frankly aren't good enough and people telling me to wait and see. I've been waiting and seeing for over twenty years. I can tell you after three or four games whether player has what it takes or not. I don't need five years of mediocre ***** before I make my mind up. I judge a players touch, passing, vision, strength etc etc the same way I would there pace. Players don't learn to do new things as they get older...

The old arguements on here used to go along the lines of... When Baros learns to get his head up he'll be better than Owen, he never was never going to learn to get his head up. When Sissoko learns to pass he'll be like Vieira, he never learnt to pass, when Babel improves his touch and consistency he'll be a great player... guess what... he never improved his touch and consistency.

Players don't "get good" at stuff they can't do. There is alot of myths in football, experience makes you a good player (it doesn't, it just allows a good player to maximise his already set level of ability)  you need to have pace, foreigners don't play well in there first seasons etc etc etc.

Its all cliche, boring, unoriginal and quite frankly wrong.

People kept banging on about Englands golden generation, as soon as they lost Scholes, ***** Owen off and started playing Lampard and Terry on a regular basis it started going wrong (obviously there was other factors) but the reason it "went wrong" wasn't because they were good enough but couldn't perfom. It was because players like Lampard and Terry were over hyped into world beaters. The actual world beaters like Gerrard, Rooney and Ferdinand were then surrounded by decent but overated players instead of the class they previously had with them in Campbell, Neville, Scholes, Owen and Beckham.

Basically my point is, I can see how good the side is now, yes, we're doing really well at the minute, when we have a bad patch and everyones calling for everyones heads, you'll notice my stance won't change. I will probably look like the positive one then.

Mate I fully agree,

but from what I know from PSG fans (season ticket holders), they rate Sakhou a lot.

BR definitely deserves the MOTM award after getting full marks in terms of points earned since the start of this new campaign. It is still too early to judge Brendan at this stage, we'll all have to wait at least until Christmas to know what he is made up of in this toughest league in the world. It was a step into the dark to appoint him last summer as he had no track record of winning anything and he was our 2nd choice after R.Martinez. Something is not quite right here for a club of Liverpool's stature to appoint a young manager who is still on the learning curve. I still adamantly hold to the opinion that getting rid of Rafa for Hodgson was one of the biggest blunders, if not the biggest in the club's history, do you think Rafa would flop like Hodgson in the first 5 months of season 2010/11? Rafa's Napoli is top of Serie A with a 100% record after 3 games by the way. And it pains me to see him succeeding elsewhere.

I am impressed by Brendan's performance so far since January but the sense of insecurity is still there because of his limited track record as a manager and with only 2 years of experience in the PL, we all have to wait and see whether he will be good enough to manage Liverpool. I know Rafa was good enough but Brendan, it is a long and anxious wait until Christmas at the earliest to find out. And if we get beat at his old club tonight, the winds of doubt will slowly creep in.

I'm starting to be concerned by BR's apparent inability to out think his opponent during a match. Our starting performance is something of a smokescreen. Teams know that we like possession and to knock it around. They know we like time, space, control. Once a team overcomes this, either tactically or simply absorbing it, they get in our face, and we can't handle it.

So far as I see, BR rarely seems to adapt during a match. The players seem to become directionless. Without the ball, they don't know what to do. Players get frustrated, or worse, they panic. This sends waves out to fans, home and away, and we crumble under it.

So far we've got lucky. They say its important to win, even when playing badly. Well, we gained a point today. I hope it's just a settling in problem.

On the positive side, when players return, and of course, Suarez returns, I don't think we'll get worse.

i dont know where to post it.. so

“I just want to say sorry to the Swansea fans for two bad mistakes,” Shelvey told Sky Sports. “I have gifted Liverpool the draw really and we wanted better than that.

“We started tremendously, getting the goal, but then I’ve made two mistakes. I showed a bit of character, getting on the ball and setting the goal up. It’s a bit of a relief I suppose, but I’m still very disappointed.

“I just can’t stop thinking about the two mistakes. You want to hide where no one can see you, but it’s happened to great players in their time. It’s a horrible feeling, you don’t want to wish it on anybody, even your worst enemy.”

suddenly shelvey is comparing himself to great players?

Don't think so mate, think he's just trying not to be too hard on himself for his errors.

I'm thinking his comment should be interpreted as "it’s happened to EVEN great players in their time"

felt sorry for shelve, got to say I did smile when he got his goal, then felt bad for him when he gave us one back....still find it hard not to think of him as a Liverpool player, I like the guy and think he will be a great player but needs to back off himself a bit, who knows one day we might be back at the club.

As for Rodgers, think he is doing a great job, last night was just one of them night, playing your old club that still loves you and an ex player trying to make a point.....something was going to happen.

Rewind...

You smiled when shelvey scored his goal and felt sorry for him when he gifted Liverpool 2 goals?

Who are you supporting this week? Swansea is it?

Jeez, give ya head a shake lad

Getting a little concerned about second half performances lately, not saying he's doing a bad job but its somewhere that can be looked at and improved upon
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
