That's laughable truly laughable
The day we are 7th in the table and its deemed an excellent job by the manager is the day we have truly let our standards drop.

Most would agree that he is hardly doing a bad job, not sure I would say excellent though.
The first season was always going to be hard, especially when Rodgers systems and tactical philosophies were so different from the previous seasons. This was also compounded by a failed transfer window in August.

We have no trophy, no FA Cup final, possibly no Europe next season and we're just one position higher in the league.
We did mediocre in both domestic cups this year and our Europa league run was nothing to celebrate.
But, I think a lot of this has to do with last august - november. The Carroll situation was an absolute disaster. Lucas getting injured again was a disaster, Gerrard's form, adapting to the new system.
It was never going to click straight away.
Since then things have improved an awful lot. Lucas is back, gerrard in form again, the january signings look really good.
Im far from happy right now but I think we might have some foundations to build on over the summer and Rodgers needs at least another season to see what he can do. I hope we win the next couple of games and end the season on a high instead of the season fizzling out and maybe dropping a place.
Although I want to see Rodgers get more time, I have to be honest and admit that I have considered that Rafa is available and a part of me would like to see him get a second shot.
I still have several concerns about Rafa too though.
