My opinion of BR got a bit more positive today, I hope he can prove me wrong, and if he does I will gladly eat my words.

Just because I dont automatically lick the managers ar*e, like some posters, and I feel they have to prove themselves. You are not being realistic.

I've genuinely been encouraged by Rodgers early doors and even now. The result today was reward for our performances over the last few games, even when we haven't had the results the performances have been clear as day that we're a good footballing side and there's genuine reason to be optimistic for the Rodgers era. Hopefully the rewards continue. Walk on

We can see that BR is starting to adjust the playing style of the team to suit the players we have. In like the first 4 games, the team seemed to be very intent on following BR's philosophy strictly by playing only short passes. As a result Gerrard's game was restricted and he struggled. Now BR seemed to have given Gerrard a bit more freedom and a bit more direct passes in the final third. Now, we're seeing, Gerrard's lob passes to Sterling and Suarez. I like the look of BR, he seems to be very similar to Rafa the way he is so meticulous and taking notes. It's encouraging that he seems to show some flexibility in his tactics and always looking to improve. His next job is to get more stability in defence and also a more consistent way of scoring...

The manager's proving to be revolutionary! Christ I hadn't heard of 90% of the team for the last couple of games but they showed they weren't overawed by the occasion and put on a solid display. Well done lads.

Looking at the bigger pictue, all players over 25 must now realise either they play out of their skins or they'll be out by the end of the season. Imagine how much that will reduce the wage bill - the managers shown that the plan to focus on home produced talent with lower wages and avoiding high price imports can be a success. This is going to be a very interesting season.

I wonder what the selection will look like come the end of the season?

B-Rod has the cojones to play youngsters in his first team. Ask yourself this, would Houllier or Rafa start Wisdom and Suso in their first premier league game at the same time? I highly doubt it, I mean we could have put Aissadi or Henderson instead. Rodgers also like he doesn't give a f*ck about price tags and reputation, he wants to play his best eleven and if that includes a lot of youngsters then so be it. I love how he picks players who are really comfortable on the ball and are easily adapted to the system, my only worry though is our defense.

We made 734 passes yesterday, the passing accuaracy was 90%, 734 passes is a record for our club! possession was 67%! now that's tiki taka.

It's not Tiki ! It's the Liverpool way which was played decades before "tiki taki "

Houllier and Rafa as far as I can remember never started the season with 2 points from 5 games which has gone a long way towards shaping BR's thinking.Squad size is also a major factor.Rodgers removed £26m a week in wages during the last transfer window and it could have been more if he had let Cole go.Injuries to Lucas and Kelly have obviously necessitated the need for change as well. Interesting that you didn't include Kenny in your criticism of past managers.Kenny persisted with an absolute load of dross that ultimately cost him his job. Everyone of Hodgson's and Kenny's purchases will be off the books by the end of August next year with the exception of Suarez.Houllier and Rafa had their shortcomings like all managers but the real problem lies with far more recent managers.

I find Rodgers to be a breath of fresh air. The teams he has played in the Europa League and the Capital One Cup have demonstrated his ability to get the best out of players. Suso,Sahin,Assiadi,Wisdom and Sterling will all become regular first team players. Assaidi is 24 and probably cost Brendan Rodgers under £3m. He makes the likes of Henderson and Downing at £40m for the two of them look terrible. Suso or Adam in midfield?  If these changes are indicative of what we can expect from Rodgers then are future is in good hands. Brendan will shut up the doubters and of that I am quite sure.

No only Rafa did a terrible job changing the youth team setup to produce the current crop of youngsters.

Rodgers is the right man at the right time.
His comparison to Shankly is there for all to see. He has started from the bottom up an instilled a 'play by merit' philosophy which includes giving young, inexperienced players a chance. He has no time for poseurs or wasters and is not impressed by big money signings. He wants only those who want to play for LFC and this is the key to his undoubted future success.
As a club we steadily took our eye off the ball and were brainwashed into thinking that expensive means better. LFC always had the knack of finding good players who could become great through hard work and single minded loyalty to the club. The comraderie of the players and the manager was crucial and the knowledge that the fans were the 12th man, plus the belief that we could beat anyone were the keys to our success. This is returning and not a minute too soon.
B Rod has finally turned the corner and been proved right. Now lets hope all the doubters shut the fu'ck up and show some respect. And before we get "it was only Norwich" comments, we have been building up to this with our performances since the season started. As soon as the supporters get 100% behind them, then see us fly!

Rodgers football phylosophy is straight on ,love his style,his directions and his vision. I'll let the striker signing farce pass and stick it to top level managment confusion. If we keep with his way great days are coming to Anfield. Still need to get future signnings spot on and will say it again more people in the box ,more more more.

I've no idea what the figure actually is but that cant be right can it? Even assuming each person was on 100k a week that would be 260 players/staff shipped out?
