england were practically calling gerrard and LFC liars, could you imagine them doing that to ferguson?
gerrard should have called it a day then.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't that when Shrek and Druggie were both excused at that same time, but the FA made the big deal about Gerrard?

Ya I remember a year or two ago, rooney and some other manure player said they were "too injured" to play for England, and that was that.  But Gerrard, who was actually injured, said he was too injured to play and they made him drive like 250 km to get checked out by England's doctors, they said, "Ya he's hurt" and he drove back.

Ridiculous.

You're right..i'd forgot about that.

The entire England set up is a joke, and is full of divisions where mancs and scousers don't mix. England has never been a TEAM. Steven doesn't care about them (you only need to look at the lack of effort when he wears the shirt).. so he needs to grow a pair and tell them hes finished.

Needs to retire from England if he wants a future at Liverpool, right now he shouldn't be captain imo.

Agree with this. He is getting injured far to frequently.

You know something? I'm starting to understand the apathy for the English national team. Your FA must start taking responsibility for the state of the national team.

As an outsider, it's hilarious. Deep down everyone wants their national team to do well, but English FA make this incredible hard to do. Eventually this will effect EPL.

Why is Gerrard dropping back so deep in practically every game we play ? I mean OK he wasn't introduced today till the 69th min, but in some of the
matches he has played in midfield this season if he sat any deeper  we would  have had two goalkeepers .

Because central midfield is poor, for him to get the ball he has to. If Gerrard didnt come back and get the ball himself he wouldnt get a kick.

There is no Xabi Alonso providing the passes through anymore. Instead we have Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson, Jay Spearing. It makes sad reading, but its the harsh reality of the drop in quality.

When you sign average players you get average results.

Well in, Stevie, well in.

After having a deserved pop at the pathetic displays from his teammates of late, he led by example today and drove us to one of our most comfortable derby victories in recent memory.  Top stuff.
