and why benny bangs on about City, i've no idea.  We're NOT CITY...and if you waste 100 million on sh!te it hurts us badly because we've not got the funds to speed that money again.  That's why we're struggling this season and that's why we are persisting with the likes of Carroll, Henderon and Downing.

City are relevant because they showed how much money is needed to spend to get into the top 4 - its a reality wake up call for some people who think because we spent 100 mil in 12 months that means we should be top 4 ( as people keep stating )

Again, and I dont know how many times i need to say this (i have noticed you only reply to some posts, not the one where you are proven wrong) I dont care where we finish, but if the additions dont add to the team and we dont play good football, whats the point?

Managers should be given time on merit of progress, both on and off the field. So far this season Kenny hasn't done much of either.

You said Kenny should be sacked is we didnt get 4th - LFC2007 said what if we get 5th just missing out on 4th by a point and also win a cup and you said he should still be sacked if he doesnt get 4th - so your talking on progress - you demanded 4th . Getting 5th and a cup is progress.

So if a new manager comes in and doesnt getting 4th does he get sacked ? we could have a new manager every single year.

It was actually around 60 million he spent during the summer plus one freebie - and with that 60 million we bought 5 players. Man City spent that on 2 !!!!

This is exactly where your problem is - we have a net outlay of around 20 -30 mil - with that you expect us to break into the top 4 ? City ( yes City ) were the latest team to break into the top 4 - guess how much it cost them ? 500 million - and you demand it and expect on what we have spent ?? Massively unrealistic expectations there .

How long does a new manager get ? What if he doesnt get 4th after his first season in charge ? sacked .

Have we improved since Kenny took over - have we gone from 15 points behind CL spot to 5 points behind it ? Yes. Is that not progress you demand ?

ah, the old Net outlay b0ll0cks argument....so it's ok to waste money because we got lots in?  what utter [email]cr@p...nothing[/email] justifies the outlay on rubbish we've done, nothing but players turning in good performances.  And i expect a damn sight more than a fraction of what we've seen.

As i said...18 months and 100+ million should be enough to get a team like ours into the top 4. Why?  Because we already have some world class players (reina, Gerrard) and we also had a good defence...which you seem to credit kenny for building

Benny I honestly think Henry is going to look at how much Kenny has had to spend and see if we have moved on from last season or not.
