We need some wingers anyway. Get in Mata or maybe Navas and Bojan and we will be sorted.

Thing is, surely he would be willing to see what our summer activity is like in the transfer market before making any descision?

He understands where Kenny and the club look to be aiming for and its an exciting time for LFC, yea we are not in the CL and maybe not even in europe, but there could be some serious talent coming to the club in the summer.

he is almost 100% gone in my view.
we are looking at new keepers all the time and a swap deal with man city would be the best one in my view.

I still don't think he will go, he is a goalkeeper who will play to he's nearly 40, what's one more season without CL football, but if he did go I agree I'd swap for Hart but I'd also want 10m

I don't reall think we can blame Reina if he chooses to leave in the summer. He has given nothing short of 110% for this club since he joined and has become a fans favourite. If he does decide to leave then he is an honourable person and won't do as his fellow Spaniard did in January and manufacture a move at the last minute. I hope he sees the revolution taking place at the club, the fact these new owners appear to be far more genuine than H&G and money will be spent in the summer. I am also sure that Carra and Gerrard have been bending his ear encouraging him to have 1 more season to see if we can get back into the CL places.

i wouldn't begrudge him a move aslong as he leaves in the right manner unlike certain others in the past.

as it happens i haven't got a clue if he'll still be here next season or not. his celebration after our equaliser the other day didn't smack of a guy who wants away that's for sure.

He doesn't seem disinterested like Torres was before he left.  I think a few summer signings might convince him to stay.  He also might look at Torres and realise that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Pepe Reina has compared Kenny Dalglish to Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola and believes the team have improved a great deal since our former No.7 returned as manager.

The Reds' stopper was a teammate of the Catalans' coach during their days at the Nou Camp and has watched from afar as he has made a spectacular transition from the pitch to the dugout.

Guardiola has attained legendary status as both a player and manager in Spain and our No.25 is well aware of the similarities with Dalglish.

"Guardiola is a bit younger than him of course," Reina joked as he spoke exclusively to LFC Weekly this week.

"But they have very similar backgrounds - icons as players and great managers as well. It is important that he [Dalglish] knows the club.

"He's a legend in Liverpool - and I mean a legend because sometimes that word is used too much for other people. Kenny knows exactly what the people (of the city) think and what the supporters want to see.

"Because he was a great player himself, he understands the point of view of a player and that means he knows how to set standards and what is acceptable. He makes everything much easier for us."

That relationship with the players has been a major catalyst in Liverpool's upturn in fortunes after Dalglish took the helm back in January.

Reina added: "We have improved since Kenny became manager. We have beaten the big teams. But it is important as players to repeat that in every game. We need to be consistent...with the aggression, commitment...everything.

"We cannot just perform against the top sides because a season is 10 months long. If we get the balance right, we'll be a lot, lot closer to where we want to be. We started this season and the last one not the best. Next time, we need to make sure that doesn't happen."

yes there a right way to leave a club and a wrong way, we all know what the wrong way is, if he leaves with respect i will be first to give him a clap when he players us.

I agree.  He does celebrate a lot.  He ran up and gave KK a bear hug when we beat chelski.  He ran across the pitch to celebrate with Kuyt after the pen against Arsenal.  He really does care about winning.  I don't think he's given up hope about a champions league spot to be honest.  I think he knows he should be playing in the champions league, but he wants to be there with Liverpool.

Julio Cesar is not the best keeper in the world, not by a long shot, but when Inter won the cl last year, all the sudden he's being thrown around like some goalkeeping genius.  People all the sudden claimed he was the best.  Imagine if we won with Pepe.  People would know he's the best and it would be fully deserved.

Look at our record against top clubs since Dalglish took over.  We play very well against big clubs and that would carry us far in the champions league.

Overall goal difference this season against the big clubs (Prem only):

manure +1
Arsenal 0
man city 0
chelski 3

We could have easily came away with 3 points against arsenal the first game but cole was wrongly sent off and that was about as unfortunate an og you'll ever see.  The city game was an absolute joke as well.

I've never really felt he was going to.  I am uncertain at this point, but I've always felt he's just leaving the message out there that if the owners don't stick to their promises, the big players will leave.

I've been told that Pepe's been told our plans for Summer, and Kenny and Clarke will get 3 year contracts. I think we're looking to sort his contract out, I believe he's got a get out clause which the owners want rid.
