i see a potential conflict coming up with Abra and Ancelotti, abra wants torres to be in the starting but torres couldnt play in a 3 man attack with drobga and anelka, its too narrow.
hopefully this will cause friction within the team.

Wasn't the last person to score at the Bridge Xabi Alonso back in 2008? Or Kuyt in the CL QF in 2009?

in the league, mate.

Well thats the remaining fixtures for the top 6
Add up the points you think the teams will get to what they have now and we'll have some idea of where we'll end up.

Obviously its impossible to predict but im just putting it out there so you can try and guess for yourselves.

This is the points the teams are currently on:

Utd 54
Arsenal 50
City 49
Chelsea 44
Spurs 44
liverpool 38

Looking at the games, it's going to come down obviously to a few matches in my opinion.

For Liverpool, it will be our games against Arsenal, utd, city and Spurs.  If we can win our home games against tougher opposition like utd and city, we should be in good hands there.  A draw in some of our tougher away games like arsenal and fulham and I'd be happy.  Assuming we do about the same as spurs for the rest of the season, us beating them would put us back 3 points, plus their game at hand.  So obviously we need to beat them and hope they drop some bad points soon.

For chelski, it will be the 2 games against utd, spurs, arsenal and city.  We can hope they will drop some precious points to these teams.

For spurs it will obviously be us, chelski and a few of their other challenging games.

What it comes down to is that we will probably all have a somewhat consistent record against these tougher teams, so we need to make sure we are not dropping any stupid points.  One thing that seems obvious to me is that we can't lose any home games for the rest of the season.  Maybe if we drew 1 or 2, but max points out of all our home games would be great.  I don't think it will happen because we are likely to slip up, but I feel I can set a goal of no home losses.

For away games, I'd love to say let's not lose for the rest of the season, but we have a few tough away fixtures and I'm sure we will slip up sooner or later.  Even if we don't lose for the rest of the season, we can't be drawing these garbage bottom-half teams home or away.

Our position right now is quite clear to me.  We won't be getting third.  We better not get less than 6th.  At this point, there is no difference between 5th and 6th.  The points are the same and I have a big feeling it's going to boil down to the last game for that last champions league spot.  It's fourth for us or another year in Europa league.  I don't mind Europa league, but we belong in the champions league.

I thought Alonso's goal was the last in 2008 when we ended their almost 5 year long unbeaten streak at the bridge, but they credited Bosingwa and his unibrow with an og.  I don't get why, Alonso's shot was on target, but Bosingwa and his unibrow deflected it away from Cech into the corner, so they've credited it to him.

a few wks ago, we were talking abt getting top 6 being an achievement, how our squad is fill with avg and aging players.

then the sale of traitor, and the new faces of Suarez, 24 and Carroll, 22 with Kelly, 22, into the squad. suddenly the whole average starting lineup dropped a few years. we have a renew youth in the team and the future is bright.

we not longer need to worry about playing Ngog or Kyut as lone striker if traitor is injured. even with Carroll being injured we'll have Suarez and vice versa. we are more balanced now as a team and moving in the right direction under Kenny.

chelsea and spurs have a game in hand and if they win we will be 9 points behind them. Tough task which i think we will miss out by a few points.

this. We've got to rely on 2 teams both dropping 9 or even 10 point more than us

(our goal difference is so bad comparred to chelsea's its worth a point)

Chelsea have to play man u twice, re spurs I EXPECT them to lose 3 or 4 games.

As Kenny has been saying...lets take one game at a time and see where this run takes us.

We are on 38 points. Both Chelsea and Spurs are on 44, with a game in hand. Lets say we are 9 points behind them both. Our goal difference is 3, Spurs is 8, so if we keep winning and they drop points, then 5th place is on. But Chelsea's GD is 24. We've got to be realistic and say that 4th is 10 points away, and that is starting to sound like a lot.

No, I don't think we'll get 4th.

Didn't think we'd win last night either...

Exactly the point though, I also expect spurs to lose 3 or 4 games, and I also think chelsea will lose more than twice BUT I honestly do not think we will win all 12 premier league games that we have left either.

We're on an awesome run now, and I have complete faith in KK, but no team - including us - will remain unbeaten till the rest of the season.

Spurs will lose games. So will Chelsea. But so will we.

The point is that I dont think they'll both lose four MORE games than we will between now and the end of the season

No it doesnt exsist anymore.

Ofcourse we can get 4th but we will need to win every game from now on, our toughest fixture is Arsenal away.

We will beat the Mancs at home and have Carroll & Suarez fit for the City game.

Its feckin on  :buttrock

that rule does in exist - if Chelsea were to win the CL and us finish fourth, Chelsea have the right to defend their trophy at the expense of the lowest placed qualifier in that lleague

Rules - page 1
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
