I liked this one

'Is this the hardest task you've took on'
KK: 'no, I once had par 4 over water in a bunker' :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

JFT 96 - Gone but never forgotten
YNWA 15/4/1989
God Bless You All

wonder what he is thinking....kenny that is, he was very sad to leave when he did but he had to do it for himself.
must be very strange taking the team talk (well he and sammy are said to have done a few when Rafa was still here anyway but you know what i mean)

walking the team out must have been a great feeling, i would say he did not get must sleep the night before but i think thats a given, by all accounts he sat up all night on the phone to others picking the team and setting out a plan for our next 3 games lol...........bet his wife was happy about that lol

for a man that bleeds liverpool i hope he takes us back to where we belong, he can then move on knowing that in his mind he put something right that he said he feels he was apart of its undoing.

Anyway enough said your not going to ruin an otherwise perfect day ..... The King is back and it feels GOOD to be a Reds fan once more

On being quizzed by journalists about his view of Fernando Torres this season.

"For the games I've been in charge he's been brilliant!" joked The King. "Playing up front on his own he worked tirelessly. Someone asked me yesterday if I had a magic wand but I don't need one - he's got one.

"He's still a top goalscorer and he's still someone everybody fears when his boots go across the line onto the pitch.

"This football club has never been about one individual. It's about a collection and a team - and we are a team. There is no I in team. It's up to us to help Fernando as much as we can but also help each other."

when  questioned on whether every player  in the dressing room knows what it means to play for the Club.

"There isn't anyone in the dressing room who doesn't understand admire and respect the history and traditions of the football club - even the lads who came in the summer fully understand it," said the caretaker boss." I don't think it's a problem for them to understand what this football club means to an awful lot of people.

"They themselves have a lot of pride in their performances and they'll want to do it for themselves and for the people who come and support us."

And finally....  Dalglish was asked what his wife Marina made of it all.

He said: "It was actually her that wanted to be manager! She was so successful last time! I think she phoned Ian Ayre and said 'Please'."

:D Legend

I remember when he managed Newcastle he sort of fell out with Ginola. Genola then sent Kenny a three page transfer request. Kenny's response to the media was " I got David's transfer request...... his handwriting was beautiful....

I thought that was funny as feck

Why the hell did they not hire him at the begging of the season?  We had absolute idiots at the club.
