considering we've got villa and toon next up i'd have preferred the greek at the back anyway to combat carew and carroll in the air.

i'd have no problem seeing kelly step up either. the kid is good enough imo.

How far away is Dan Agger? Good opportunity for himself and Skrtel to form a very formidable partnership.

Not sure we do as young Danny Wilson is ready to step up in my opinion.

Wilson is ready IMO didn't he captain rangers for a few games? And he's got cl experience. Perfect opportunity for him to step up IMO.

gary cahill would be the one (bolton will have to let him go either now or in the summer for financial reasons). he'd cost £12m+ though.

i'd take hangelaand aswell in a heartbeat. reminds me a lot of hyypia.

yeah, why not. We've got nothing to lose, judging from the number of goals our defence is currently leaking.

its a shame he is out for up to 3 months as he was finding form.but i honestly feel the rest will do him good and will give someone else a shot like kelly at rb or agger and skyrtel at cb.
this injury could be a good thing if he returns fit for the latter end of the season as i dont think he has the fitness anymore to be playing 30 odd games a year.
we need to blood in an alternative now who will get a steady run of games in his absense and make him sweat for a game on his return.

This is definitely a chance for the younger players to step up and show what they can do.  It'll be a tough choice for Roy to make though.  Does he play it safe and just have Soto and Skittles play every match?  Or does he give Wilson a shot?

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I expect Hodgson will dip into the market during jan to buy a 30 year old cb who used to play for him years ago . :;):
