Much of the spending will need to wait till summer, but if we can pick up one or two quality players that address obvious gaps in the squad then that is a good windows work. They don't have to be first on the team sheet, but they need to be players who'll fit the squad in the short and longer term. For example, someone like Roque Santa Cruz may be available, not too expensive and he isn't a bad striker. maybe try santa cruz on loan. I tell you who have impressed me that albrighton from villa and matt jarvis both look to have big futures.

His form prompted a call-up to Fabio Capello's preliminary 30-man England squad although he failed to make the final cut for the World Cup.
However, Johnson has started just five league games this season and, although he insists all he wants to do is become established for City, he admits he may have to consider moving on.
