The only thing they dont want to do is buy players that have had their best days and are looking for a swansong at LFC.

Makes sense to me!

Yes but JH has also stated that is obvious the club need a initial cash investment, also to appease the likes of Torres and Reina so I think we`ll see 2 or 3 big signings.
If not they`ve been blowing smoke and our top players will leave.
I dont think that`ll happen.

I reckon we might need to sign a keeper in the january window, if Reina is serious...hopefully he's just not had a tete-a-tete with Obergruppenfuhrer Henry, and he'll be convinced to stay.
Wasn't there a rumour we were linked to a Danish keeper recently ?

I wonder when was the last time our scouts went up the M6?

Funny you should say that Reg.

Sharing a house with two Rangers fans at the moment I have been forced to watch a lot of them.  Steven Naismith is really starting to come into his own this season.  Didn't look out of his depth in the Champions league games either.  I'm not convinced totally, but he's one to keep an eye on.

Thanks that insight John, I have no idea whats going on up there, they dont show Jockey football in Brazil!

The boy Hooper at Celtic seems to be doing well.Knows where the goal is.
Naismith as you said is rally looking the part this season and also played well for Scotland v Spain as did Graham Dorrans.
Missed a trick with Steven Fletcher going to Wolves and James McCarthy at Wigan.

With all due respect, I can't ever recall seeing a player in Scotland that I would covet....I do like McCarthy though, I'll give you that....

Bavlondon is spot on, Connor Wickham, Andy Carroll  minus the off field hassle.  Quite like Fabrice Muamba if we are looking stregnthen the midfield.  Although I get the feeling we'll be getting players we've never really had on the radar before, but not spending over the odds, possibly from Scandinvia if Roy's got any influence left, and out of the French Leagues if it's down to Comolli's got the upper hand.  I think we all know our week spots, but the real question is can we get good enough players, who'll want to come at that stage of the season, and for the right price.  (also 23 or under)

Just because they play in a poor league doesn't make them poor players.
It can be difficult for players to shine without good players round about them.
I was at the Scotland v Spain game and Naismith and Dorrans gave the best international team on the planet a torrid time.

Scandinavia doesn't have that much to offer to be honest. There are bunch of good keepers there though. If we are looking for an attacking player though it would be Tobias Hysén. I know he didn't work that well at Sunderland but he has become such a great player since then and we all know his father will force him to shine at us. Last season he scored 18 goals and he would be cheap as hell. It would deffinately be worth a gamble. He would easily be the second best attacker we have. He has head in the right place. We deffinately need another striker though.

One of the few bright young stars Linus Hallenius http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJebaYWwt3E&feature=related

Benzema on the cheap would be a steal and I doubt he will cost that much either since he wants away from Madrid.

We should get Pippo Inzaghi, he should be open for a move since he has gone down in the pecking order at Milan... he will be a massive boost to our attack, always enthusiastic, has alot of experience and always scores...

I don't know... but he holds the record for the most goals in european club games, 70 goals.

This 37 year old I don't mind playing for us mate... He can have a similar effect that Teddy Sheringham had for the mancs... intelligent goal poacher... always at the right time at the right place...
