to be fair to him, if he can't get in the team now he never will, especially with kuyt injured and everyone woefully out of form. he was awful again last night but he's still probably the only player we have with any pace, torres aside (and he's lost a yard aswell). he'can't be any worse than joe cole has been so far to be fair.

unfortunately he's the sort of player who needs a manager to put faith in him and give him a run of games. when was the last time he played 2 games in a row?

Ryan Babel; simple - he should be sold.  Had enough chances and he's not done it.  As should a few of our squad.  Get what we can for him and some others, add it to the £40m or so we've been told we're getting and buy some quality.  And give it to a different manager to spend.  Let someone else do the 're-building' process (jeez ... how many of them have we had in the past 15 years?)

Watched the rezzies at Huddersfield today and Babel was gash then too. I doubt he'll play against 2 slower centre backs again, missed what 2 real chances he got and scuffed a volley 10 yards wide. To top it off he came off injured.

Can't ever see him getting the run of games he supposedly needs so I reckon sell soon as.

Here we have guy that was a promising young footballer who didnt only fail to build on his early promise but whos game has now completely capitualted where by he has almost nothing left to offer a top class football team. Babel may look back and feel he took the wrong path joing Liverpool, maybe he should have held fire and gone to Arsenal, but whatever went wrong, be it his fault or ours, the lad is finshed at our club. Someone will take him and try and try and find that early spark but you feel he would be a big gamble for any club at this point given he will want a decent wage and hasnt done a tap on a football pitch in 3 years.

'held fire an gone to Arsenal' -ffs no manager would have got anything different from babel whatso ever! he wouldn't have got a regular start with them either- let alone now! -let's face it he wouldn't even get on the subs bench at Arsenal nowadays- the only reason he get's on ours is cause we have injurys!

i can't get all this -oh but if he was at Arsenal or somewhere else he'd be a different player- CR@P, he's a fecking prima donna, lazy tw@t who thinks he's better than he is! an his  attitude stinks.

iv'e watched him enough now to give my honest view, iv'e heard myself say in grounds home an away with other fans, "give him time,he will come good" b0ll0cks to that! -we haven't got time with players like him, cause EVERY AN I FECKING MEAN EVERY opportunity he has been given, wether it's through someone eles injury whatever, he should gasp the oppurtunity with both hands end of!

what does he do, classic example, when he fails to control a simple pass made to him an loses the ball, instead of busting a gut to try an win it back,he fecking runs half hearted back with the oppo player for a couple of yards, then gives up! everyone in the ground is fecking roaring at him to show more commitment, skill, passion etc. i'm affraid it falls on fecking deaf ears with him.

as a result he doesn't deserve 2 games on the trot! not even in the ressies for me. cause he shows no example to other fringe players of what it means to be given countless chances! when ever he does start in the first team, what happens 9 times out of 10. he get's subed an quite rightly so! say what you want about RH but even he's sussed out he's cr@p, ffs that speaks volumes for me.

if he can't an hasn't proved he's worthy of wearing the red shirt by now. he fecking deserves another club-we are Liverpool-like shanks said. an babel has never understood what that means!

I feel sorry for him.
If he can accept how the previous and current manager have treated him then he obviously has no self respect or self worth

The way he has been treated has been of his own doing by his performances on the pitch - every time he has been given a chance he has blown it and constantly under performed time after time . I think it's amazing he has lasted this long - he was lucky last season that any fee we would of got for him would of paid of debt , if that wasn't the case he would of gone last jan
