Apology accepted! I think you will find that I only get upset with utter k.nobs that have either the inability or intelligence to accept that a forum is for sharing opinion rather than inane and childish insults!

You got there in the end and your inability to originally read what I said is only matched by your  ineptness to remember what I said. You are one stupid fkn plank! For everybody elses benefit just find me one of my posts that says that all Liverpool fans are hooligans! You will not be able to!

I take exception to being insulted by idiots like you! Next time you decide to have a go and write some incredibly insulting bile GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT. If it means reading something several times so that you can understand what is actually being said then sobeit !!! Keeping a dictionary next to your keyboard may help. Now fk off - even yo should be able to understand that!

Johnson is just a modern full back for me, they are all better going forwards then they are going backwards. The days of the likes of Phil Neil or Alan Kennedy are long gone, and these days the likes of Evra, Cole, Lahm etc etc are all a bit suspect if you get at them. Johnson probably isn't in their class yet, but I do think he'll get there. We paid absolute top dollar for him obviously (17-18 million is a huge amount for a full back, particularly for a club with limited resources) but I think it'll prove to be one of the previous managers better buys.

I agree with the poster who says he needs to toughen up a bit mentally, but I really do believe that at his best he can extremely destructive going forward. Defensively he'll only ever be OK, but him and Kuyt on the right really ought to be a pairing which works.

I don't believe Johnson will ever be in the same class bracket as Lahm and Cole Mick ,he simply hasn't got the application that these pair have in abundance and he sadly lacks their determination or overall defensive game ...  like you I said Johnson was an astute buy for Liverpool Mick but I now feel sadly mistaken the Lad simply doesn't have it in his locker to be top class as a defender
Oh for the days when a Phil Neal was all you needed eh mate  :D

As I expected you can't find a single thing to back up your totally unacceptable character assassination. Find it interesting though that you have to resort to threats of violence. No wonder you defend hooligans!

Johnson would be great as a Right Midfielder.
A way to blood young Kelly as RB into the 1st team.

This game is all about opinions and mine is simply that Glen will never inspire confidence whilst he sits uncomfortably in our back four ........ I personally feel its high time for young Martin Kelly to be blooded....  who has more than impressed when given the right back slot

Sorry I gave you more credit than you deserved! In your case it clearly is ROCKET SCIENCE! Fkng patronising t.osser !!!

sorry but...

bit of a ding dong going on here  :D

Just to add to the topic, I like Johnson and I think he'll feature as an integral part of Roy's plans.  :D
Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

How ironic is it that johnson (RB) can't defend well and Kuyt (RW) cant attack well?
I understand why people like Kuyt... he does offer the team a lot.  But he hardly strikes fear into opponents.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kelly at RB and Johnson at RM as someone else said.

Kelly's played at right back a couple of times and doesn't look convincing enough for me.

You mean when he was mom in the champions league game last season  ???

Which games has he looked unconvincing in ?

Btw i dont think Johnson would be as good as an actual wide player.
He would then be marked by an actual fullback.
At the moment when he comes forward its without anyone tracking him so he often has a run on the full back.
The combination of Kuyt and Johnson was very good on Sunday i thought.

our last Europa league match. There were a coulpe last season too. I think he lacks the pace to be a full back and struggles getting back in time.

If Roy can turn Pantasil into a decent right back, I'm sure Johnson can become more than decent under Roy.
