Stoke City v Liverpool - Britannia Stadium 15:00 (Part II)

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby algymoon » Sat Aug 08, 2015 9:24 am

What I seen of the recent performance in pre-season games, I really fear for another hammering by Stoke. Our midfield is very weak like last season and especially the wonderful skipper Henderson who wouldn't even get a place in first teams of any of the top four of last season. How this idiot BR make him a skipper it is beyond me.
Charlie Adam & Co will run the show unless he get send off! and I am sure Henderson will not be noticed in game as it was in most of pre-season games.

BR will start with an odd line up as always with 4.3.3 which it will never works against teams like Stoke, which out for the corners which the team most likely  would give Stoke many gifts so is our goalkeeper!
If we luck to come back with point.

It has to be a win for me. Its the opening day and its important to start as you mean to finish with 3 points in the bag. There is also the expectancy for us to show that mays scoreline was a fluke and we are going to erase the memory of it.

That hammering was our worst defeat in over half a century, if the players have got anything at all about them they will be chomping at the bit to set the record straight, then again, the way half of them were dancing around in Dubai hours later who knows how they will react?

We need to go straight at them

I think if Coutinho has a good game Benteke will benefit and i expect them to to have a little partnership going this year

We have recruited the second best RB in the league in Clyne so should look stronger defensively

Come on Red men 3-0 and we are top of the league

I feel it too my red brother!
Just had a great Sunday morning lie in, breakkie and now up for it.
If the REDMEN feel the way I do, then we'll coast to a 3-1 victory!
LET'S GET IT ON!

Did Rodgers leak the team news to his favourite "press people' yet ? anyone with the team news ?

I would take a dull 0-0 draw if it was offered to me now.

I am hearing from my sources that lovern is starting ahead of sakho........... No Lucas or Can to protect the defence

Well........

Anyway.....hope we don't lose. Will be ecstatic with a win though.

Yep, that's what I read somewhere as well. Not liking it tbh. Milner and Hendo in midfield  :no we're asking for it. Glad to see Benteke there though.
