Huge game, one can't afford too lose, as you say "a great opportunity to make ground" but time and again in situations like this (when rivals have dropped points) we've failed to take advantage.   :(

So in their last two home games Southampton have drawn with West Ham and lsot to Swansea but we can't compete with them, get a grip will you  :no

Just a gut feeling mate relax.

I had a similar feeling before the game against Spurs at WHL last season and look how that turned out. :D

That goes right back to even Roy Evans's time as well, we have got to get that habit back that we had in the 70's and 80's of winning these key games. Seasons hinge on games like this.

Big test for Lovern today ,not too excited with the no striker decision.

WTF, here's me hoping he would go with Mario and Sturridge and we end up with no striker, mmm, strange

Strange decision by Brendan here... Hopefully he's tactically benched Sturridge, and not because of an injury or knock.

Not sure where our goals will be coming from. I can only imagine he plans on bringing in Sturridge and possibly Balo later in the game to pinch the goal?

Would have gone with Sturridge as lone striker up top and Sterling and Ibe on the wings. And maybe Toure instead of Lovren. Other than that no comments for the rest.

Cue the criticism on BR for not playing Sturridge and Balotelli...
