Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby devaney » Sat Mar 02, 2019 9:45 am

Let’s face it this shower of bitter ***** are going to play this game like it was their own CL final !! The supporters live for our failures rather than their own successes. There was a time when the rivalry was was reasonable but that is no longer the case. I don’t just st want to win this game I want to humiliate the fk out of them.

I’m not sure that we will need to win all of the remaining 10 games to win the title but one thing I’m sure of is that we will probably need a minimum of 27 points and dropping points against Everton is simply not an option. They gifted us 2 points at Anfield earlier this season and there is no way that I want to wait until the lasts seconds of injury time to secure the points tomorrow.

Press the last living bit of life out of them. Play like our lives depended on it. This is not going to be easy. Let’s not make it more difficult than it has to be !! IT IS A MUST WIN !!

Good thing, this is probably the best time to play Everton, they're not in a good form. Their manager's job is hanging by a thread though so they might be even more fired up to keep his job.

But frankly, I couldn't care less who we're playing, the next 5 games are a must win, as simple as that. Same line-up as Watford for me (except maybe Keita in for Milner)

The weather forecast isn't too clever for tomorrow either, not only is it going to p[ss down apparently we are going to kop for high winds as well, atm they are saying the really high winds (60-80mph gusts) aren't going to hit until around  6-7pm but if the forecasters are an hour or so out this game could turn into a right fvcking lottery, if not a farce.
Trying to play football in 80mph winds would be nigh on impossible.

This is one of the few tricky matches left out of our run in.  3 points needed.

Despite their poor form, you just know Everton will raise their game by 30% to play us. Fact
We need TAA and Robbo to keep whipping those crosses into the danger areas.

Looks like Bobby is in contention to start as well.

Can't slip up now.  I'm going for a scrappy 0-2 to us.

City won so this game is pretty much must win now.

City only won 1-0, so this is a good chance tommorow to get our goal difference up by Tonking those bitter blues.

Most teams do that against City (and us). Bournemouth had half their players out injured too. Would have done the same if I was Howe.

Could be a horrible game spectacle wise if the weather is like that.

I think they've picked up couple of injuries with KDB and stones. We will see for how long though.

They are saying that the high winds won't hit until late Sunday night now so at least that's something. It's still going to rain like but rain doesn't turn the game into a lottery the same way wind does. Nothing worse than if someone hits a cross and it's in the lap of the gods where the ball ends up.

It's the same for both teams... Let's not worry too much about the weather.

Everton have not beaten Liverpool since October 2010 and a winless sequence of 16 league derbies is the longest barren spell in the club’s history.

Everton will be trying everything to throw a spanner in our works so we need to be seriously up for this right from the first whistle. I know it's a tough game but we aren't going to win the title with draws. We have to win.
