Return leg should be a glorified friendly based on this display. No cards, easy does it.

job done, solid start from Roy, didn't see the match but I can only assume everybody's done themselves absolutely no harm tonight
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

We pretty much bossed it, mate, without being anything better than decent throughout.  A couple of nice finishes from Ngog and some good runs down the right from Amoo were the highlights.  Rabotnicki offered nothing but long range attempts going forward and looked a pub team.  I think Roy will give serious consideration to keeping the big guns on the bench in the return leg and letting the kids have another run out.  It'll all depend on fitness, is my guess, as we're pretty much through based on tonight's evidence.

Wing play looked good esp. Jovanovic.  Aquilani looks like he's up for it.  I didn't see anyone caught out of position and seemed to be an emphasis on midfielders tracking back and helping the two centerbacks.  It looked very comfortable for the Redmen.  Another thing was it seemed our wingers took players on and beat them on the dribble.  I know its a chump team but that rarely happened last season.

Well despite the fact they were absolute garbage, I'm declaring it a masterstroke of tactical genius by Roy :buttrock  . Furthermore, anybody who isn't on here right now and celebrating like we've just won the Premiership isn't actually a real fan, and they support Man Utd  :D .
