No abuse here - but the sub of torres didnt not result in us loosing a goal - that came down to an individual error from a defender - nothing to do with any subs. simple as - Torres being on the pitch wouldnt of changed it - it wouldnt of suddenly made the greek sort the ball out .

shut up - that 20 mil midfielder has only played 15 mins of football in 7 months you clown

yeah and that 20million pound midfielder is miles better than ngog ffs and nearly got a penalty awarded against the gunners

oh shut up - thats just ridiculous trying to even justify such a statement

ngog or aqualira (spelling) ummm ill have a think on that one

Aqualini has played 15 mins of football in 7 months - 15 mins and is just recovering from a virus as well . Ngog when he came on against the mancs scored - there are the facts . Ngog coming on had f.uck all to do with us loosing a last min equaliser

So wrong I not even gonna get into ti fact we lost 2 and drawn 1 almost in row now late in game due to him being taken off.

cheers Dazzer I never realised how good nando was at centre back

You just don't get football do you ? They pushed an extra 3 players up as soon as Torres come off because they knew they could man mark ngog 1v1 and not worry as much about the counter. When Torres was on they held their shape alot more and didn't push forward as much. Its always a mistake to sub you main front man after scoring a goal any ways nearly always costs you.

What dont you get ,it was a fecking mistake by the greek , nothing to do with anyone else ,nothing to do with Rafa, nothing to do with tactics, Maybe someone threw a bit of pitta bread on the pitch an he slipped, ffs he fecked it up end of

BTW, any cunt the even tries to put any sort of blame on the manager for this game is a grade A cock sucker.

Who said any one was blaming Rafa I blame fact Torres is so good he holds teams back single handed and when he comes off its almost like thier players have been given the kiss of life.I personal don't blame Rafa for sub I might have done same I just wouldn't hav done it like for like I could have brought on aquaman or a defender.

What we do know is they did'nt for 86 minutes. Then they suddenly did. Also Rafa is puts too much faith in players who constantly let him and their team mates down.

Disagree, it has nothing to do with Torres being taken off, we were just not good enough at the back! I wasn't surprised at all that we will f*ck up there because we have a really weak back 4. The Greek proved that he was another basement buy and shyte player.

ya ok relax there buddy. did lyon crucify their defensemen for allowing babel to take a shot. you're a moron. besides the unlucky goal, kyrgiakos was the class of the defenders again 2day just like he was last game. carragher wouldnt do any better. these are 2 elite teams, players are good and ppl do score goals. 1 -1 relax and be thankful u have such a beast in the back.

you wanna come down from way up that pedastel mate? Patronising us cos you're talking like a nob, do me a favour

I knew straight off some w@nker was gonna blame Rafa but it wasn't his fault, the team out there should have seen the game out and thats the end of it. This result isn't the one that hurts, its the ones before that. So dont even bother with a pointless argument like its rafa's fault tonight, blame hims for the last games if you want just not this one

F*cking gutted here. I feel like someone just kicked me in the bollox. F*ckin robbed. Nothing just seems to want to go our way at the moment. Voronin is a waster and seeing him in a Liverpool shirt just doesn't sit well with me at all. Ditto with that Greek at the back. Just doesn't look right at all with him with a Liverbird on his chest.

No, no, mate--don't you see?  We had them absolutely pinned back for every single second of the 87 minutes Torres was on the pitch.  They never even had a sniff (disregard that save Reina had to make with his face, or the header just outside his area or those freekicks...).  We pull Nando off and, wham, they're all over us like sailors in a brothel.  FECKIN' RAFA!

Don't be naive for Christ sake.

Of course that substitution affected the game.  Torres' mere presence on the pitch occupies at least 2 defenders and crucially they fear him.  You bring him off and it automatically gives them a lift and the defenders the confidence to take risks.

It was a stupid decision against United which invited pressure but we got away with it.  It was a stupid decision against Fulham... clearly.  And guess what, it was a stupid decision again tonight.

Obviously we can blame Voronin's miss, the home game v Lyon or the performance at Fiorentina, but don't pretend the manager couldn't have made the closing minutes of the game a bit easier for us by leaving Torres on.  He managed 86 minutes... what's the likelihood that the final 4 minutes will make any difference to his physical condition for the next game.  Nonsense.

I'm sorry, but it was a stupid substitution that contributed to the outcome.

Wrong - Torres fitness is on a knife egde and he only stayed on long enough to get a goal - we got the goal and off he comes for another striker - Torres being on the pitch wouldnt of stopped that goal going in - Thier striker would of still scored after our defender messed up .

Your greek buddy already nearly cost us a goal before his second error actually did cost us a goal .

looking at the other forums they all seems to put the blame at Rafa, dont look like the press will.

i understand why you are all saying about the sub and yes it was a strange one with only 3mins left and we are not playing till monday............but we still had 11 other players that should have the ball out and them the back 4 should have done better.

The big Greek's well dodgy, sometimes its just little things he does that annoy me, things that someone with his experience should have ironed out a long time ago. Voronin is cr@p mate, when he had the one on one the commentator said 'Torres!' and then said 'no, Voronin', I knew it was never gonna be a goal then
