Liverpool Football Club - Games

good first half. we look composed and patient in our build up which is a great sign.
they are closing us down and pressing very quickly which is making for a great game. hopefully we can stretch them again and add another goal early and they might drop their heads.

Not the most interesting game to watch but at least we're in the lead. I would rather have that than play good football but be a goal behind. I just wonder, how many passes Agger and Toure have between themselves :D.

Jokes aside, we need one more goal. With our shaky defense (although it's been Ok so far) and Benteke on the pitch, I'm not confident with only one goal.

Yay for you.

I don't have any bets going.  But since this is a LFC forum, I can pretty much assure you that we all hope we win the match.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Some of the passing has been excellent. Lucas looks very assured and the front three are mobile and confident. As the second half progresses they will find more space and Create more chances.

Howdy partner!!

I cant see Villa being any worse second half, so better performance expected from them.

Magnificient first 30 mins , the best performance since a long time  , we should maintain the pressure in the second period and if we pass the 60 min with this score they won't be able to return in the game cause they have played another match this week

We can only last so many games holding these 1-0 leads like this. Way too much pressure on us at the end of the half, and if it stays this way then the last 15-20 mins will be the same.

We need a second soon to set the mood for the half, and hope we can grab a third. I still feel there's a good chance they'll put one in on us so we need another to cement our authority on the game.

Villa are bound to have possession spells at home, LFC just have to make sure they're contained. Soak it up and get that 2nd, can't be doing with another 1 niller to the last minute.

Johnson must be the weakest link on this team...

I just saw Aspas do a Downing. Is he being asked to do this?

Anyway, I've been very impressed by Toure's and Lucas' performance. Agger, not so much.

What the hell was Johnson thinking with that shot?
