Last season it was CB and we haven't had a single injury there this year but midfielders are dropping like flies!

Putting the midweek League Cup game to one side, we have 3 games before a two week international break. Sounds like Fabinho's injury is relatively minor, and Klopp said Thiago will definitely be back by the time the international break is over, and wouldn't surprise me if Milner and Naby are too. So it might just 3 games we need to navigate before we have a full quota minus Elliott.

Milner is a tweaked hamstring, so could be a few weeks.

Naby's may be less serious. Klopp said he was looking OK and it was a light shin injury.

That's good news about Naby but why the hell did the need a stretcher then? He has quality but he's very soft and obviously intolerant to pain. I'm sure half his injuries could have been avoided had he just been a little tougher and suck it up.

It was a bad tackle and he deserved the red but didn't think it looked bad enough to warrant a stretcher. Hopefully it isn't serious and he's back soon enough.

Good refereeing to overturn the yellow for a red but feel Ronaldo got off easy for the foul on Jones. The initial tackle was high and across the waist but driving the boot into the ball like that when he was on the ground should have earned him a red. Gets away with a lot of dirty sneaky stuff he does.

Fantastic performance, one for the ages. Hopefully ManUre can take some points off City and Chelsea and keep Ole in the job, we really need him right where he is.

As for Ronaldo…. 37 and still acts like a petulant child. When it was reported they bought him the press were talking about how he would help the younger players and dressing room. I was thinking they would implode because he was always a selfish and self centered player, never looks like the type of player that would sacrifice for his team.

To be fair United did well, they looked ferocious at times and "only" let in 5 goals.

They should stick with Ole and give him a life time contract.

Man United 2021/22 wages. Whilst the top end wages are unbelievable, many of yesterdays team came from the bottom of the list.
2021 Active Roster
PLAYER                  ANNUAL WEEKLY
Cristiano Ronaldo £26,520,000 £510,000
David De Gea         £19,500,000 £375,000
Jadon Sancho         £18,200,000 £350,000
Raphael Varane         £17,680,000 £340,000
Paul Pogba         £15,080,000 £290,000
Edinson Cavani         £13,000,000 £250,000
Anthony Martial £13,000,000 £250,000
Marcus Rashford £10,400,000 £200,000
Harry Maguire         £9,875,000 £189,904
Bruno Fernandes £9,360,000 £180,000
Juan Mata                 £8,320,000 £160,000

I would say that everyone above (and including) Cavani is a mistake. They shouldn't be at ManU, or they paid to much for them or their salary is way bigger than it should be. LFC's salary list reflects current value:

Utd have become one of those clubs players just go to for the money. Plenty of times over last few players they've thrown cash at players to beat off competition but you just end up with a bunch of mercenaries. Fergie would want to know everything about a player and would even try to meet their parents! They don't have footballing people there to pull the right people to the club for the right reasons. But sooner or later they will get their act together and get the right people on board and they will start challenging for the PL and CL again.

We are known for paying a lower base rate but higher incentives than our rivals. The season we won the CL, Salah was reported to have effectively taken home 300k+ a week despite his reported wage being 200K.

Basis their basic salaries above, the top 11 paid United players (ie who you would imagine to be their first XI) cost  £3.095 million a WEEK compared to Liverpool's top XI £1.830. United yesterday were a shambles, what exactly are they paying for? I'm not worried about LFC paying bonuses, as no success = no bonus so as long as we're winning games and trophies bonuses pay for themselves.

I can't believe Sancho is on 350K pw at his age, I mean what has he ever done except have a couple of decent seasons in the Bundesliga, that is just pure stupidity by Utd. 350K pw for a bench warmer. Robbo on the other hand is under paid.

Sublime and sweet victory over the scums, excellent performance by most of the players, easily taken goals, but well worked out. sorry to see Keita got injured, that was his best game so far, and very impressed with Konate (he is much better than Matip) the same should happen with Robbo to be replaced by Tsimikas.

Good Luck Lads
