LIVERPOOL VS SWANSEA CITY - Sat 5th nov - 3pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Think we might need to get Kuyt on to improve that right flank...
Down the middle Adam is on a yellow and despite doing relatively well connecting with Enrique and Downing going forward, hes looking reckless on the tackle and WILL be sent off unless someone has a word with him.. I'd take him off and bring Spearing on..
Further up, I dont think Carroll has been effective so far. Hes had a couple of chances (should have scored the 1st one he got) but his linkup play in general  has been disappointing. Cant see us taking him off early on, but with Bellamy and Maxi on the bench we have decent options if things dont change after 15 mins or so.

Are the players aware the game started? All seem lathargic and sleepy...Poor lads probably had a late nighter.

Should really get a kick on their a$$.

???

I think Lucas has been alright today, or at least better than the other two midfielders that we have. Carroll has done OK I think as well particularly in the air. Too bad no one was able to use those headers. I think we need more players in their box, especially when we're crossing the ball.

Look, we have dominated possession, had 5 corners, 10 shots at goal and all withouht looking that good.

If only we could be better with putting the ball away

Kuyt on

Horrible performance... All the recipes for disaster are there...
We spent so much yet doesn't have anyone that can cross properly.
Yet the same players after they leave their crossing improved (eg: Pennant).
I just don't understand why the players are so far apart from each other when attacking.
Static players are easy to defend against. And Swansea keeps intercepting our pass as our players are wide apart and static.
Kenny should humbly ask for advice from Pardew of Newcastle on the art of attack and passing.
Sadly, Newcastle are head and shoulders above Liverpool in this respect.
Our players are constantly having their back against the opponent goals. Why are we playing this way?
Instead teach the players how to pass and move with the ball passed infront of players running/moving towards the opponents goal.
Stop passing square ball all the time. Pass to empty spaces so the players can run and create spaces.
Stop those nonsense of players waiting on the spot for the pass to reach their feet.

I don't think that putting Kuyt on is a good idea, he's the last player I'd play against smaller teams. But Hendo just had to go off.

we seem to lack just a bit of that quality to open up Swansea's pass... for eg Lucas received the ball but didn't have the skill of Gerrard or Alonso to pass is it immediately to Carroll who was running in the middle... the moment is then gone...
