Swansea vs Liverpool (25/11/12 - 13:30)

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Massive game for Rodgers personally and I’m sure all of the Swansea players will be well up for this, especially with the fans behind them. Promises to be red hot. This will be an extremely difficult game for our players since Swansea play like us but with 10x better composure and passing, obviously since they’ve stuck with the same tactics for a good few seasons now. They’ll press us high and we’re still very nervous passing around at the back. They also know Rodgers well so they’ll probably know what he’ll try to do.

The key for us is of course Suarez, but perhaps more so Joe Allen. I think he had a nightmare in the Carling Cup because Swansea targeted him and will be doing so again because obviously he’s our link between defence and the attacking third. At the moment he looks absolutely exhausted and deserves a rest. Hopefully Rodgers can give him that when Lucas returns.

In terms of starting line-up, I’d think it will be our settled back-four Wisdom-Skrtel-Agger-Johnson with Reina in goal. I think Rodgers will have to pack the midfield in this game, that’s a battle we certainly need to win so maybe he’ll give Henderson a start to support Allen. So the midfield 3 would be Allen-Gerrard-Henderson and then the 3 main men who destroyed Wigan Sterling-Suarez-Enrique.

Tough game, we’ll need alot of luck and we’ll need to control them for the first 20 minutes, if we can do that then I reckon we can go on and beat them. On the plus side our defence is settled and improving, and our striker is scoring for fun so…

Prediction: Swansea 0-2 Liverpool  :buttrock

Perhaps Rodgers needs to bamboozle Swansea on this one - counter attacks and long balls.  :)

hopefully we can kick on from the wigan match with another much needed win.
It will be a tough enough game for us if we are set up tactically the same and could be a bit of a stalemate. At least if it does go that way we have the comfort of knowing rodgers will do what he has to.
it would be great for the manager to come away with the win and overtake them in the process.
2.1 to us :buttrock

Hope to see Enrique start this one further forward, I think that worked well for us.  Interesting to see if the boss goes with Suso, Hendo, Shelvey or Sahin in the middle with Stevie and Allen.

I'd love to say we really need this to keep our season going, and in reality we really do need this.  A win here would be massive for us, putting us close to all those in the top 5 or 6.  This will be our toughest game in a while tho, there's no doubt about it.  They really want this, and playing in Wales against a good Swansea side is never fun.

Really have no prediction for this one.  Would love to keep our unbeaten streak going.

Need to win this one with Arsenal again dropping points yesterday. A chelsea lose today and a win for us could see us only 6 points behind top 4 which would give the lads a real confidence boost.

Suarez is in hot form recently so he will be confident with scoring with every shot he takes. Along with Enrique who seems to have had a good last couple of games. Only problem is Wisdoms injury how bad it is? Is he available to play today? If not it might mean Enrique back at LB and Johnno RB.

Id like to see shelvey start but can see Rodgers going with Gerrard Allen and Sahinin the midfield.

Ill take 1-0 win

always going to be a danger game, a old manager playing his old club, over the last few years they dont often get a win, hate to say it but i will be happy with a draw.

Downing AND Henderson? Might as well see how they get on, if they turn up and put a decent shift in then we should be ok - trouble is the occasions where they do are few and far between, here's hoping todays one of the days they have a good one
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

Good tackle by Downing.

I guess in hindsight we've really got nobody else to play there since Wisdom is hurt.  Johnson back to the right, believe Flanno is injured right now as well as Kelly, and Robinson's not ready to play in the prem yet.  Let's hope Downign takes advantage of his chance.

It was good tackle but he should have been goal side in the first place and as commetators have pointed out you have Enrique and Downing in a role reversal
