Well that was easy wasn't it.

Fook Me I think I now know what a heart attack feels like.  MOM is either Mignolet or Toure.

Don't know what Agger was doing there. Felt like it was happening all over again when we conceded. Good game though.

We still need to sort out our defensive frailties. I also wish we learned to finish!!!

To be honest, if there was ever a MOM from a losing side, it should be this game and it should be Begovic...

My MOTM is Lucas, but it could well have gone to two or three others.

Well I was nervous near the end but we were 1:0 up rather than drawing 0:0 with the pressure on. Makes a change and always happy to get off onto a winning start. Not many dodgy performances but the defence and keeper as a collective need some work.

Henderson was invisible at times
Gerrard seems to have stepped up in dead ball situations
Aspas and Coutinho look like they could develop a slick partnership
Studge done what is asked of him but he could perhaps be a little less selfish and find a pass rather than shoot
Lucas keeps getting better and seems a capable DM
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Both Agger and Mignolet had a shaky game...

I have to say that finally we don't seem to have any passengers in the team, all our players out there worked hard... and contributed to the team... long may this continue and improve... Slightly disappointed for Aspas, he played well, seemed to be abit too eager to score but just couldn't get on the scoresheet...

Best 2 keepers in the league on show today!!
What the hell was Agger doing at the end?? He's so erratic at times, he costs us so many goals from these basic errors. Last season it was his bad marking from corners that drove me crazy.. he needs to concentrate better.

Other than that it was a decent performance.. Johnson could be abit more fluid with his movement, he slows the game down too much when he gets the ball, he needs to receive it, look up, and try to keep the moves flowing... instead of stopping the ball dead on the spot, then deciding what to do with the ball.

The front 3 showed good movement and linked up very well.

Could really kick on after this. We deserved the win, dominated the game and got the points, something that does not always happen.

Would like to think we will now go from strength to strength.

Mignolet my MOM just because of all the pressure on him after his shaky start, and that double save will already be a contender for save of the season.

I thought Johnson really picked it up in the second half while everybody else seemed to key it down a bit. Sterling didn't do much while on, and Enrique really is poor in the final third.

I must say, with Suarez back and if we were to sign Willian, we could be banging in goals for fun. Luck was definitely not on our side during this one when it came to finishing, and Begovic just showed how good he really is, but I'll take 3 points no matter the scoreline any day.

Just made my week.

Liverpool opening game - won - 3 points
Created a million chances but we actually scored!
We beat Stoke which seemed impossible last season
We give away a penalty last minute which should have gone in based on our luck but it is saved! I'll bet the everyone thought that's it draw

Common Rodgers has improved us since last year, give the bloke some credit.

Lets hope this will be the start of a comeback season!  :buttrock
