pmsl, might have been a 50/50 ball but only one player had both feet off the ground.

Lakes, play a game of football. If a ball is sitting like that, the one who goes in hardest not only wins it, but protects himself. That is what is known as a hospital 50/50 ball. Carrick was a fairy in his tackle. Gerrard wasn't. He'd only intent in getting the ball, not the player.

What other way can you dive in to make a tackle? When looking at tackles like that, it's the position of both fight, and more importantly, the hight. Gerrard's feet aren't over the ball. You keep hearing that Gray go on about it, but he's right. If the feet aren't over the top, then it's a ball winning tackle.

Doesn't matter that will come with time. Point is they are closing down higher up the pitch than they did with Roy.

yes it a good ponit, how do you do it, well by keeping on foot on the ground, as the fa said, you onky need one foot to hit the ball, you not need one to take the ball and the other to break a leg.
