never a red... never! they were both going for the ball, its not that carrick had the ball in the first place.

:no

if that was a utd player we'd all be calling for a red.

2 feet of the floor, lunging in and catching carrick. might be considered a bit harsh, but you cant say it was never a red

It was a red, a harsh one given the match and all that has gone into it including Daiglish's return but in most matches that is a red card.  He shouldn't have given it imo but two footed tackle.

Takes 37 minutes for United to challenge Reina from open play with a terrible toe ender?

sorry mate that was as red as red gets, i know its a liverpool player but going in with both feet off the ground is a red card in anyones book.....even more so when you miss and hit the players leg first.

lakes see it again, Gerrard didn't have his foot off the ground, carrick didn't even have the ball with him, they were BOTH going for the ball. I've seen worse tackles than this, its not even a dirty tackle, the De Jong tackle that broke Hatem Ben Arfa's leg is even worse than this and De Jong got :censored:.

A debatable decision, but when you go in two footed like that you are asking for trouble. Gerrard knows that, if he'd have gone in with one foot like he should have it would have been play on.

We have been playing very well. Pressing them high up the pitch, lots of fluid movement.

I think the bbc got the formation wrong because no way is this 4-4-2 and no way is Meireles playing on the right.

tbh It was always going to be a big ask to get a result today even with Kenny back at the helm. We were up until today playing as bad as we have done for god knows when, Kenny only arrived late last night and the mancs except for that carling cup game have been unbeaten all season.

Im still pleased with how we are set up and how we are playing. A lot more sprint in the players.

Gerrard's tackle should have been yellow. 50/50 ball and if you watch it, he's not even looking at Carrick.
